MAKEUP REVOLUTION MONDAY: THE £4 EYESHADOW PALETTE YOU NEED!

Revolution Makeup Reloaded Iconic Division reviewed with swatches
Makeup look for hooded eyes created with Revolution Makeup  Reloaded Iconic Division

In an attempt to revive the blog & make it feel a little more like when I started, I’m bringing back budget beauty! I don’t post about it often but I use drugstore picks every day! Today, it’s newly rebranded Revolution Makeup turn! It’s been a while since I tried their eyeshadows and seeing the little ABH Subculture dupe everywhere, I decided to take a plunge & give it a go. If you fancy knowing what I think, please read on.

I usually talk about packaging first but when it comes to Revolution Makeup Reloaded Iconic Division there’s not much to talk about here. The usual rather on cheaper front plastic houses 15 pans, mostly matte shadows with the exception of opalescent white-pink, my personal favourite light kiwi green with silver glitter and buttery copper bronze metallic. The palette hosts a really good black but misses a white/offwhite/vanilla matte. I adore the medium beige matte as a transition shade and the medium-dark peach, both of which blend easily without losing out on the richness of the shade. Same with the orange on the left of the bottom row, dark chocolate at the end of the middle row and both medium and dark purple - all of which are a pure joy to work with. I’m not huge on the taupe, muted blues simply because they tend to look muddy on me, and the opalescent white pink just doesn’t do it for me. I know lots people love it, but I don’t see the point of it in this palette.

The reason I haven’t jumped on ABH Subculture bandwagon was the combination of shades so I’m pleased to try something similar without having to spend £43! I know I wouldn’t use it as much to justify the cost! Here, with Reloaded Iconic Division at £4 I cannot complain. I’ve fallen in love with green metallic when applied on wet brush. I start with packing a little colour with my fingers but soon switched to brush and a little sprint of Urban Decay All Nighter! I adore the extra metallic finish it gave it & I’m happy to report that the shade can be used wet without compromising the formula.

All in all, you really can’t go wrong with this well pigmented £4 eyeshadow palette! I know I’ve used it every day for the last week or so because whilst not too ‘appetising’ at first the shade selection is actually more thought through than I gave it credit for. You have a great selection of warm and cool tones which should make any makeup look pop! I’m excited to try many more looks with it!
