Single and not ready to mingle on Valentines Day? I hear you! I'll be spending the day with one of my girlfriends, we're off to the cinema to watch 50 Shades Darker and do some 'couple watching'. Couple watching is a term I invented during my trip to the cinema when 50 Shades of Grey originally premiered. Seeing all these couples, especially watching guys reactions, made me really want to see that again:) It's just a movie you probably better see with your friends than a date, I mean pretty awks right? To each their own, of course and I'm not judging! In the evening, I plan to just pamper the hell out of Valentines Day. Why? Because that's what I love the most, relaxing evening at home and a great pamper session.

A YEAR IN FAVOURITES: CARING FOR FACE, BODY & HAIR IN 2016
It took a lot of thinking to reduce the list of skincare favourites to something I'm actually able to write in a day or so. It took a whole day of thinking, sweating and making hard choices. Below you have a list of best of the best. Products that amazed me in 2016 and I loved them too much to pass on a mention in a yearly faves. Can you believe this is already my second yearly best kinda post? How quickly that went!
Cleansing:
As a self proclaimed cleansing buff I had to think really hard about this category but two products made the cut and I truly loved them. Superfacialist by Una Brennan Vitamin C+ Skin Renew Cleansing Oil is a drugstore fave. So easily accessible in Boots it doesn't break the bank and is constantly on offer so you're able to grab it below £10! This is the best smelling cleansing oil ever. I love citrus scents and this one smashes it all. It's also super gentle, removes all makeup including eye makeup, which is a must. On contact with water it changes to a lovely milky formula that washes off easily. I branded it a radiance in a bottle because it leaves my skin so glowing and hydrated! Perfect first cleanse.
For my second cleanse I tried so many balms last year but I must award Merumaya Melting Cleansing Balm (-15% off your first order at Fabled by Marie Claire) the title as it's truly surprised. The gel formula that changes to oil on contact with skin, has a very delicate and pleasant scent and makes the second cleanse a true pleasure. It won't break the bank either, with full size being below £20! It washes off easily and I like to remove it with a warm cleansing cloth.
Cleansing accessories:
These two beauties haven't come to my routine till late in the year but have wowed me enough to include them in yearly faves. Konjac Sponge Pink Clay has been a fave of mine for months now and works so beautifully with both cleansers mentioned above. It's a hard sponge that changes to it's true form when soaked for few minutes in warm water. I love using it as I feel it gives my skin a more throughout cleanse. It's easy to wash off too! I got Foreo Luna Play early in my Selfridges Advent Calendar and have used it non stop ever since. It truly makes the difference. I was shocked how quickly it made a difference to my bumpy clogged pores skin. I have gotten rid of most the bumps on my skin and haven't suffered with many breakouts, especially around chin area since I got it. It provides a deep cleanse and I feel my skin is thankful for it. I use it 1-2 daily, definitely in the evening and sometimes in the morning, although I prefer the Konjac Sponge in the morning as it wakes me up more, if that makes any sense.
Toners:
This was an easy one really. Sylveco Moisturising Hibiscus Toner has been a true pleasure to use. I loved other toners in the year but this one will be repurchased before it's even finished. It is so gentle and soothing, my delicate skin loves it so much. It is a toner, not a miracle product, so as long as it leaves my skin soothed and comfortable, I'm good with that. The all natural ingredients are amazing and no alcohol in the list makes for it to be non drying and super gentle. True gem.
Serums:
I never skip this step and there were two serums that really made a difference in my skin texture, moisture levels and firmness. Resibo Smoothing Serum was branded by a friend of mine as a botox in the bottle and how right she was. Having used it for months now, always in the evening, I can see how much difference this serum has made. I now wake up to a smoother, moisturised skin. Bye dehydration lines, I actually see the results. I had quite bad lines on my forehead and now I barely see them anymore. It's worth any money and the price tag is pretty decent at £25!
The Ordinary "Buffet" Multi Technology Peptide Serum (POST)and the whole brand has been the skincare discovery of 2016. If you don't know it already, The Ordinary launched under Daciem skincare and produces serums and acids at the most incredible prices. At the point of my order, 'Buffet' was their most expensive serum and it didn't even break £15! I'm amazed by this serum and it became a staple in my morning routine. I'm really in to multi serums now so I'm looking forward to discovering more of their serums in 2017. Back to the 'Buffet' itself. It's a highly concentrated multi peptyde serum aimed at all anti-ageing benefits. It firms, moisturises and creates a perfect base for a moisturiser. I loved using it in the morning but also in the evening, together with Resibo serum. It made all the difference to my skin and I get so many compliments lately at how radiant it is, when I'm not wearing makeup.
Facial Oils:
I've discovered facial oils last year and have really been in to mixing my own plant and seed oils to create a perfect mixture. Last year I stepped up the game when The Body Shop Oils Of Life Intensely Revitalising Facial Oil series launched. I received samples of the oil and fell in love with it instantly. It gives my skin an amazing hydration and also helped diminish dehydration, really my whole routine has. It's not the cheapest but I bought full size the moment the sample ended. I don't use it every day now, as I just don't need it. My skin feels more normal than dry these days. I use it every other day in the evening before my moisturiser. I also used a drop in some of my 'drier' foundations and worked great at giving the finish the radiance I love. You only need a little and 4 drops are more enough for neck and the face.
I also fell in love with OlVita Rosehip Seed Oil* which was kindly sent to me for testing by The Natural Skincare shop, which I'm obsessed with! Having read upon all the beauty benefits I put it to test instantly. It's truly remarkable but this oil helped my Mom's sun spots to become less noticeable. It helps with any scarring, sun damage. It gives the level of moisture dry and mature skin needs and at the same time firms and soothes the skin. I loved using it and again you only ever need a little. I find 3 drops enough to cover the face and the neck.
Moisturisers:
I'm not very quick at finishing up the moisturisers but I really use them, I promise. I just find I prefer using a light hand when it comes to application. I always tap my moisturisers in, instead of massaging them in too. I must admit, I don't have a favourite evening moisturiser. I use a couple and I like them but I find my serums and oils work best. Daytime moisturisers however! I loved quite a few. I'm sad to let go of my absolute fave Talika Photo Hydra Day Cream. I've got it in a beauty box and I used it religiously. It was by far one of the best daily moisturisers. Makeup went on it nicely, it gave my skin much needed moisture but wasn't overly oily either. It sank in within seconds too.
Only when I finished Talika, I really got into Body Shop Oils Of Life Intensely Revitalising Cream. This cream is a miracle worker. It moisturises so deeply, sinks in quickly and provides a well prepared base for makeup. I rarely get in to more than one cream at a time, I will test some but then go back to finishing one up. I'm half way through this one and I'll be super sad to see it go. It's super creamy but not too rich, you could probably use it for the evening too, but I just adore it for daytime and I'm almost saving it up as I fell my oils and serums are enough for my skin in the evening.
I couldn't not mention the Créme De La Mer. I got a sample during Ask Alex x La Mer session I went to in Selfridges and just fell in love. Yes it it the best damn moisturiser in town and I can't believe it. When I first tried it I was so dissapinted as the texture reminded me of those super rich old style Nivea creams and let's face it, I was not impressed. However, what it does to my face is truly remarkable. Within seconds my complexion becomes radiant, healthy. It awakens the skin as no other and I also enjoyed using it at night. I use it every blue moon as I really don't fancy spending £110 on a full size but I know it'll happen. When I'm done with multiple creams I have waiting in the queue, I will buy it, because it is simply the best. Damn you La Mer and Alex for introducing me to it!
SPF:
I completely forgot about SPF when I was photographing this post but I can't not mention it. Someone as pale relies on SPF throughout the year to help maintain the level of paleness I came to know and love. I don't hate the sun, far from it, I just know than by protecting my face and body now, I'll thank myself later on in life. I won't go on a SPF rant but I will mention two products I loved last year. You've heard me rave about Eucerin Mattyfing Face SPF50 (SAVE 15% OF YOUR FIRST ORDER AT FEEL UNIQUE HERE!)so many times, it needs no mention really. It is the best damn face SPF I used to date. It makes my suddenly oily in the summer skin, so much better and works great under makeup too. It's not too expensive either plus have a life of 18 months so a good 6 months more than your usual SPF. It's currently sitting in my fridge awaiting better days. For now I'm sticking with SPF in my daytime foundation as long as it's SPF30 and an occasional spritz or two of Bioderma Moisturing Anti-UV Mist SPF30. (SAVE 15% OF YOUR FIRST ORDER AT FEEL UNIQUE HERE!)It's simply the best because there's no other on the market. I really hope someone will invent SPF50 mist for summer 2017 as I need it to happen. It's so easy to use, works under and over makeup and makes a perfect handbag addition. I still have it in my handbag because believe it or not, we do get to have some sun during the day. It works.
Masks & Treatments:
I could go on and on about all the masks I've used in 2016 but those that really stood the test of time are these 4 contenders. I raved about Glamglow Youth Mud (POST) & Glamglow Thirsty Mud (POST) so many times and these are so popular in blogosphere, I'm sure you're sick of hearing about them. I think they just work. In terms of skincare I don't depend on instant results, some products work over time, so seeing instant results and longterm results in one product makes me happy. Youth Mud is simply the best mask I've ever used. It firms, works almost as an iron for the face, smoothes, makes for the radiant complexion. I always over use it as it's not the easiest to apply so I tend to go through these a lot... I'm sad to mention mine's all used up and I can't replace it until April (damn you spending ban!!!). It truly makes me sad, as I loved using it. I use it once a week as a skincare treat, usually on a Friday, which in our household is mommy and me pamper time. We reward ourselves with pamper after a long hard week of work and usually start with Youth Mud before moving on to Thirsty Mud. This one's a miracle worker too. It's the best hydrating mask ever and I love using it after more harsh formulas like Youth Mud or the chemical exfoliators etc. I tend to keep it overnight, as I love the radiant complexion I wake up with after using it.
The mask I discovered more recently and came highly recommended by my lovely friend Nishi, is the Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme Mask (POST). I'm so glad I have it in my life. It truly is one of the best exfoliating masks I've used. It's an enzyme and acid based mask, that works so painfully but reveals a smoother complexion. I tend to use it a started mask and follow with something more soothing and ultra moisturising and anti-ageing. Love this stuff and I'm glad I've got it since my Youth Mud's gone!
Lastly I'm giving a shoutout to something super affordable, especially given all the masks mentioned above really aren't. Garnier Moisture Bomb Tissue Mask really surprised me. You wouldn't expect a mask from Garnier that costs a quid on offer to truly work but this mask has been a huge help fighting my dehydration. It works by delivering an amount of serum your skin needs for a week (what a silly claim to make) but truly using it once a week works so great. It provides the skin with ultra levels of moisture and I didn't see any negative effects like pore clogging so I'm giving it a huge thumbs up. At this price it's a sin not to give it a go.
Chemical Exfoliators:
I raved about Bravura Lactic Acid 10% infused with Rose* (POST) many times already and it landed in faves once or twice already. I've never used chemical exfoliators at home before and I was so happy when I was sent the whole range to try. What stood out for me was a Lactic Acid. It's quite a condensed formula with it being 10% so it's recommended to start with only few minutes and slowly build up your tolerance. I now prefer to use it as an overnight treatment and it works so beautifully. I use it once or twice a week depending on my skin needs but I really see it making a change in my complexion the morning after. Definitely worth trying, as Bravura is a professional and affordable brand, so it would be rude not to.
In shower:
I rarely speak about body care because I'm super lazy and my routine is super easy and fast. I've mentioned Ecolab Shower Oils before and I stick with my review. I love this natural brand for their ingredient lists and these oils are no different. I love how moisturising they are and how my skin feels after I get out of bath or shower. They last forever too as only a little is needed to lather the whole body, plus the scents are delicate, sweet and very pleasant. This is a joint fave of me and mom, as it allows you to skip the proper body moisturising afterwards and Vaseline Body Sprays work just fine.
I love a good scrub and this Grandma Agafia Body Scrub* was kindly sent to me. I don't know exactly what are the exfoliating bits in it as it's pretty hard to read in Russian after so many years of not praising the language, but it's all natural and mostly organic so I don't have to know. It's super rich and gives a great exfoliation without being to harsh. I fell in love wth it and already emptied one. Thankfully I have two more to go!
Foot care:
Another thing I should probably get better at is using some sort of foot care routine. Again it comes with laziness and I just stick to exfoliating socks once every three months and I discovered Sephora Lavender Foot Masks when i was on holiday in Spain. I came with a few and I find that using it makes my skin of so soft. I'd love to use it once a week but getting it from Sephora here is a drag so I use it once a month instead. I'll definitely stock up when I'm in Sephora next, as these are superb moisturising but also diminish the feeling of tired legs and feet. Brilliant stuff - highly recommend you try it.
Lip Care:
I have fairly dry lips and my love for matte liquid lipstick don't help the situation. I battle dryness all the time, especially in winter. Lanolips 101 Oitment has been my go to this whole year. Forget Carmex and others, this is the one to have. It's basically a nipple cream and has the highest grade of lanolin found in cosmetics. It works brilliantly but it isn't the cheapest.
Haircare:
I tend to be pretty boring in terms of haircare. I use super moisturising formulas as having weist long hair and ombre does not help with the dry ends and general frizziness. My day to day favourite is so cheap and works best as a detangle and leave in moisturiser. Schwarzkopf Gliss Hair Repair Liquid Silk works beautifully on my long hair and helps keeping the tangles at bay. I use it morning and evening before I brush my hair. It doesn't weight the hair either, which is a plus as long hair tend to have too much weight anyway.
I also loved Garnier Ultimate Blends Weightless Nourisher Balm, which I use once a week as deeply nourishing mask. I wash my hair the moment I get in the bath and then apply this to the whole length ad the ends, leaving just the roots. I leave it on for a minimum of 30 mins. It really works wonders. My hair is sleeker and has more shine to it.
Thank You For Reading,
Love

WHAT I GOT FOR CHRISTMAS 2016 & ANOTHER SECRET SANTA 💗💓
Happy New Year!!! Hope you had an amazing night last night whatever you were doing! I was ultra glam with jeans & shirt on, danced the night away with Robbie Williams, welcomed not one but two New Years - at 11pm in Poland and at midnight here. I can sadly feel the effects of too much Prosecco. Started today with a aloe water and green tea (not too mention litres of water I already drank...). We have a saying in Poland "Jak w Nowy Rok, tak przez cały rok", which roughly translates to "How you welcome New Year, you'll be the whole year". I bloody hope not, as I'm hanging and listening to rain pouring down. I hope for sunny year ok when I finally grow up & decide drinking ain't worth the morning after LOL.
I had a fabulous Christmas. I lounged around in my pjs all day, watching Man in the High Castle, eating too much and promising myself I'll diet in New Year. I got so many amazing presents and I wish I could show you all of them! I already shared with you a Secret Santa we've done with my girls (POST), but I was also part of a second one, ran by a Facebook Beauty Blogger Group I belong too. I was paired with Ola (Zona Luksusowa blog)and we've both send each other pressies after writing a letter to Santa (Looking at you Mazgoo!). I received a mixture of goodies from skincare to makeup. If you'd like to see what other girls have gotten in their packages + what I got Ola, check them out on Instagram (#gwiazdkowapaczkaelity)!
From my favourite natural brand, I received a Resibo Nourishing Body Lotion. I'm not usually a fan of lotions as they're pain in the arse to apply and sink in so slowly. This formula is super light, smells incredible (is it hint of vanilla I'm detecting?) and sinks in in seconds. It may just be the one to change my opinions on body lotions, now I'm a year older (and wiser??? nah, I didn't think so....Damn LOL). I also received a pair of exfoliating acid foot socks from EpilFeet. I love them! I always have a few pair handy and try to give my feet a peel every couple of months. They will peel off any hardened skin and leave your feet oh so smooth. The process takes around a week, but it's totally worth it! Ola also choose a Dr PawPaw Multipurpose Soothing Balm. I have one in my purse already and I enjoy using it. It's not as good as Lanolips but comes close second in my book, especially now in winter when my lips are normally super dry. The winner (hopefully as I haven't tried it yet) of skincare picks is the Bielenda Argan Oil + Hyaluronic Acid Serum. I've heard a lot of good being said on the Bielenda skincare. I haven't ever used argan oil on the face, usually leaving it for body and hair care. I have it in the pure form and it's not the nicest scent. Bielenda Serum has a impressive ingredient list but it's also lightly fragranced and smells way nicer than my pure argan oil. It's light in texture but it feels like more of an evening serum as it's quite rich on the skin. I am really looking forward to using it, once I finish with the facial oils I'm currently loving!
Makeup wise, I received a couple of reds and we all know, reds my favourite colour when it comes to a statement lip. I received two cuties from Kiko: Smart Lip Pencil in 706 & Matte Muse Lipstick in 04. Both are gorgeous and pigmented true reds and make for a perfect winter lip. I find the pencil excellent, it's super long lasting. The lipstick is ok, it doesn't fully dry on the lips, so you wouldn't think it'll be drying your lips, but sadly it does. I don't think I've yet found a Kiko formula that didn't do that though. Shade is incredible though and I love the glass packaging!
I wish I could show you goodies I've received from my best friends but at the point I'm writing this, I already put them to use. From my best friend Marta, I received a Rowenta Clothes Steamer. It's such a practical and thoughtful gift. I would have never gotten it for myself but I hate ironing so much. I love my steamer and I'll try and make a video on how I use it quickly in the morning to get my clothes to look perfect for the day in the office! From my other best friend Anna, I got a HUGE bath set (and honestly I just forgot to photograph it LOL). It included all the bath stuff like body scrub, bath oil, bath float and shower gel. What makes it super thoughtful is - this is the first set without body lotion! She knows me so well! I love bath products so much but I rarely use the lotions in the usual set. It also included an eye mask and a shower cap, which I'm super happy with as I recently started using my Philip Kingsley Elasticizer again and it requires a shower cap so yay! We always promise ourselves not to buy gifts and we always break that promise by something little so thank you girls for my pressies!
From my Mom I got some clothes from Boohoo, H&M and ASOS. My ASOS order still haven't arrived sadly but my Boohoo order's here and it's incredible. I wanted a rose gold capped sneakers for so long and I love them! They're super comfy and just look at them. I've been pairing them with an oversized coat I got on Boxing Day, skinny Topshop Leigh jeans and this H&M stripes shirt I got from Mom. She knows I love stripes! I love the combination and already getting so many compliments on them! I've been loving pleated skirts so my Mom got me two, this first one shown is from Boohoo and it's amazing! Again I've been pairing it with stripe shirt and my over the knees black ASOS boots. I love how it looks and it makes a perfect work wear too! I already wore it to work and loved the finished look, I've showed you on Snapchat!
I also got some vouchers from my family, including Waterstones, so being a huge book nerd, I got me some books. I've been loving Pretty Honest by Sali Hughes so I chose her next book Pretty Iconic. It's a great coffee table book and I love just flicking through it. I'l give it a proper whirl when I'm done with Pretty Honest though. I also chose the blogger book of the recent months - Hygge, which translates to Danish way of living through being cozy and happy aka how I love to spend my days.
I love it so far and it makes for a beautiful edition to my book shelf!
I also got a perfume set from Debenhams as I used up my Debenhams voucher. This is my second perfume by Michael Kors Wonderlust and it's incredible. You know how rubbish I am at describing scents but this fits right in my usual: it's heavy and sweet plus this scent lasts all day long on me. It's so strong but also super feminine, daytime or evening, it can do both. I've been loving it so much! I love the packaging and I also received a beautiful MK Keyring with it. I don't mention the Body Lotion, because I think I made it pretty clear how I feel about them. It'll make a perfect present add on tho, so I'm keeping it unopened :)
That's it from me! I hope you had an amazing Christmas and Santa was as good for you as he was for me. I feel super spoiled and love all my pressies :) To see what I got for Xmas last year check out my POST HERE

WINTER IS COMING - EFFECTIVE SKINCARE FOR DRY & DEHYDRATED SKIN + ANTI-AGEING
My skincare routine changes often. Come winter time I try to switch to more of oil formulas as I find that my skin gets dehydrated quickly due to air con and central heating. Here's my 10 step evening routine, I've been loving lately. I hope you'll find some inspiration here. For reference I'm 31 years old with dry and dehydrated skin with first signs of ageing. I suffer with redness and sensitivity and I have some dehydration lines over my forehead.
Cleansing.
Any great skincare routine starts with cleansing. I am a firm believer in double (and sometimes triple) cleanse. There are so many cleansers on the market right now and choosing one can be a drag, so I thought I'll share with you my two fave cleansers lately. Nacomi Black Soap* (£4.99 for 100ml) is a deep cleanse mask I've already raved about HERE and I stand firm with my glowing review. It is by far the best deep cleanser I've ever used. For those with super dry skin like mine, I wouldn't recommend using it more than 2-3 times a week as it can be quite drying but it's quite amazing as a first cleanse (after you remove your makeup of course). It helps prepare the skin for any treatment/mask you planning on using afterwards. I usually follow it with a more cream based cleanser, that's gentle and hydrating and Liz Early Cleanse and Polish (£15.50 for 100ml) has been a fave of mine recently. I've heard mixed reviews so I would recommend grabbing a sample size before you commit as it can be affecting super sensitive skin. I haven't noticed any 'side effects' when using and it smells divine. I love all natural cleanser scent, I'm sure you know the one, fresh and herbal - love love love. The main thing it's that it works great and is gentle enough to be used as a second cleanse after a harsher first cleanse product like Black Soap. Using both of these together will ensure a super cleanse and prepares your skin for more.
Toning.
I never skip this step. I've heard many opinions but I find a great face toner makes all the difference. I am currently loving Bravura Revitalising Ginseng Toner* with glycolic acid 5%. I have a whole post about Bravura skincare, so check HERE for more info, including ingredients etc. I find that acid toner really helps to improve skin texture and results are visible within 2-4 weeks. Bravura offerings reminds me a lot of Pixi Glow Toner and this is one, I personally love. I find this is an incredible exfoliator for dry and sensitive skin and works tirelessly on my skin. I don't use this twice a day, only in the evening as I tend to go for more delicate and hydrating formulas in the morning. POST
Exfoliators/Treatments/Masks.
I love a good acid peel and Skip Pep Brightening Enzyme and Acid Peel (£14.99 for 30ml - around 10 applications or £44.99 for 180ml) is at the top of any exfoliators I've ever used. It's formulated with enzymes derived from extracts of papaya and pineapple with the added benefits of natural AHAs Glycolic and Lactic Acid. The application couldn't be easier. You apply it evenly to wet skin on your face and decollate. Then with wet finger tips you massage it for a minute or two to activate the exfoliating effect. Then all you need to do is to leave it on for 5-10 mins. I build up my timing starting with 5 minutes including the massage going up to 15 mins. It's all depending on your skin sensitivity really. Remove the gel with wet cotton pads to ensure no product is left on the skin and apply a mask of your choice.
I found a new holy grail mask recently and I can't get enough. Emma Hardie Age Support Instant Radiance Mask** (£36.00 for 75ml) has the strangest texture I've ever seen in the mask. It goes on as a rich cream but left for few minutes it sort of separates (that's the feeling I get massaging it in before I take it off) into powder and oil. Super weird. But it works. Active ingredients like hyaluronic acid works to truly hydrate your skin and plump out the wrinkles, whilst peppermint and persea fruit extract are supposed to lift, firm, tone and make your skin more resilient. Topped off with Emma Hardie's signature Moringa Seed Oil which works to nurture and nourish the skin. It makes my skin beautiful in minutes. I do tend to leave it in for couple of hours on days when the time isn't an issue or in the evening. You can leave it in overnight, however I don't like to do that due to the separating of the mask on the skin, it never truly sinks in, if you know what I mean. It's a brilliant pre-event treatment but I mostly use it in the evenings, especially after a good cleanse and peel, so I leave it in to work it's magic for a minimum of 20 mins.
Serums.
Since my discovery of the botox in the bottle aka Resibo Smoothing Face Serum (£25.00 for 30ml) I rarely use any other serum at night. I love combining serums and I do so all the time, but honestly with this gem, it's not needed. You only need 3-4 drops to cover your whole face and decollate and My skin texture has improved so much since using it. I can't fault it, it smells great, sinks in well (not instantly), has a dry oil formula that truly makes the difference. Using it at night, especially after AHA based treatment really calms my skin and I wake up with plump and radiant complexion. Key ingredients are marula oil (anti-ageing miracle oil!), Vitamin C and Lakesis. The latter is knows as the oil of 'crystal tears' Pistacia lentiscus tree. It strengthens the skin which with continuous use regains its density, looking fuller and firmer than ever. LOVE! Ingredients list below:
Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Oil, Vitis Vinifera Seed Oil, Sclerocarya Birrea Seed Oil, Squalane, Mauritia Flexuosa Fruit Oil, Borago Officinalis Seed Oil, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate, Tocopherol, Lavandula Stoechas Extract, Pistacia Lentiscus Gum, Parfum, Linalool, Geraniol
Moisturiser/Eye Cream.
After the serum I always follow with an eye cream and I am now at the very end of my second Origins Plantscription Anti-ageing Eye Treatment** (£35.00 for 15ml) and I just love this. It's great for evening and morning, although I tend to use it at night only (trying to save it, man it's pricey lol). It has a rich but smooth formula that goes on the skin like a dream and sinks in almost instantly. I've been using it for 12 months now and I can vouch for the long term benefits. My under eyes have brightened and I don't suffer with puffiness or dark circles anymore. I mean they are still there but nowhere close to before I started with this magic cream. I can't recommend it enough and if you're on a look out for a new eye cream, you should definitely check this out! Read more about it in the POST.
My night cream differ and I love using different ones every other week, but lately I've been in love with this superb overnight treatment from REN. Wake Wonderful Night Time Facial** (£32.00 for 40ml)is super light in formula making it perfect for all skin types but it does something to my skin overnight. I wake up with fresh complexion in the morning and it truly worked for my dry and dehydrated skin. It's not rich enough to use on its own, if you're super dry, but I always follow it with a facial oil. Overnight it delivers a 3-phase treatment. Phase 1 is exfoliation and is delivered by ingredients like AHAs and enzymes torepair uneven texture and support cell turnover. Phase 2 is massaging which combines glycogen, magnesium, and omega oils to energize and heal. Phase 3 is hydration which delivers by the addition of sodium lactate which gently raises skin PH and attracts water to plump and hydrate. It's honestly a wonderful product and works on many skin types. Highly recommended!
Facial Oils.
Oils should be a last step in your routine as they can stop other moisturisers and treatments from sinking in and working their magic. Always apply your facial oil last unless otherwise recommended. I tend to use all organic, cold pressed oils, instead of oil blends you can buy from most of skincare brands. I know what oils work for me and my skin type and I tend to mix them on my own. I'm currently loving two oils and use them as an extra facial and under eye treatments. Anything to add hydration during winter months :) OlVita Rosehip Seed Oil* (£11.99 for 30ml) is skincare superstar. This oil can be used by both dry and oily types, for dry and ageing skin, it helps with UV sun damage, hiperpigmentation as well as having a plumping effect on fine lines and wrinkles. For acne prone oily skin, it helps getting rid of discolorisation caused by acne outbreaks and provides natural hydration, without blocking pores. I use 2-3 drops warmed up in between the fingers and then press the oil to the skin on my face and decollate. I adore the natural scent of it and I wouldn't change it for the world. It sinks in within an hour or so but provides a superb level of hydration. I adore it.
Second oil in my repertoire is cold pressed OlVita Grape Seed Oil (£10.68 for 50ml). Again this is a non-comedogenic which is just a fancy way of saying it doesn't clog your pores. It's one of the 'dry' oils as it sinks in almost instantly. It is used to treat acne, so perfect for those with oily and problematic skin, but also great for dry skin as it's deeply hydrating. If you are like me, who battles both dry and sometimes problematic skin, this is the perfect choice for you. It's a perfect anti-ageing tool as it helps restore collagen and it is known to diminish dark circles under the eyes. The latter is the main reason I use it for. First I add a drop my my Rosehip Seed Oil and apply it over the whole face but also apply it on it's own under my eyes and over the lids. I only use a teensy bit, less than a drop and pat it in gently over my usual eye cream. I find it sinks in so well you can use it in the morning also, instead of eye cream perhaps but i tend to use it for PM routine needs.
