WHAT'S IN MY BAG | KURT GEIGER NATURAL OPAL STUD XBODY BAG

I needed (ok, wanted) new bag for quite some time. Then one evening I came about this gorgeous Kurt Geiger Opal Stud XBody Bag and was sold instantly. This nude coloured Opal Stud XBody Bag is structured and sturdy with multicoloured studs (black, milky beige and gold) and gold details including a beautiful chain with nude faux leather handles. Also available in black HERE.

Inside Carvela logo is embellished on black satin material with faux letter details. It's quite roomy and makes for a perfect daytime bag! It's got one small pocket, perfect for keys, cards or train pass.

It must come as no surprise that I tend to carry a lot with me. I had reduced a size of my makeup bag significantly and only carry the essentials with me now. I know for some it'll still be excessive but for those of you in the beauty community, you should be able to appreciate how little I take with me!
I love my Love Me Beauty makeup bag - POST - and carry my beauty essentials in it.

Starting with the most essential item, my mini Oribe Gold Lust Dry Shampoo. I love being able to carry this with me and it truly became a staple of some sorts! I hope I'll be able to re-purchase it this size. It's probably the best (and most expensive! RPR £36.00 for 286ml) dry shampoo I used to date. It doesn't leave the white powder after application which is a plus on a daily! It works in seconds (seriously!) and doesn't make my hair too matte either. It gives volume and refreshes hair instantly. Definitely, one to watch as I've fallen in love with it from the first application.

Next up is Blotterazzi by Beauty Blender. It's a slim sponge that removes any shine and excessive sebum from my T-Zone. Even drier types experience some excessive shine from time to time and I'm prone to little glow after oh so many hours in the office. I never really liked using blotting papers and was super pleased to receive the Blotterazzi in my Advent Calendar. It quickly replaced my powders as I find I don't really need to add anything to my makeup once it's done in the morning. And if I go a teensy too shiny, Blotterazzi is there to lend a helping hand. RPR £16.00 for 2.

I don't know about you, but I can't survive without a hand cream. I have one in my bag, on my vanity, in the kitchen, bathroom, at work... Yes, I know! I find that my hands can go really dry and I need constant top ups (or I'm just crazy!). I normally receive a lot of body cream samples and use these instead, but all my samples seem to disappear quickly and I had to resort to buying an actual hand cream LOL. I was in The Body Shop recently and the scent that truly got my senses going was Fuji Green Tea & I picked up their Mini Hand Cream (RPR 4.00 for 30ml). The tub is lovely and small, perfect for travel as it doesn't take much space in the bag! The scent is incredible, citrusy but fresh, but if you know the range you know exactly what I'm talking about! Green tea gives this cream a serious flavour punch plus the formula is light & sinks in almost instantly!

On the subject of scents, I don't ever go without a mini perfume and lately the total fave of mine is Victor & Rolf Bonbon. Named after a candy aims at modern woman who enjoys the pleasures of life, self-indulgence and relaxation. The bottle is shaped as wrapped candy, although it reminds me more of a ribbon. The scent is strong and sweet with key notes of caramel, mandarin, orange & peach. The sweet fruit trend is followed by heart notes of orange blossom & jasmine. The base notes are warm and musky with cedar, guaiac wood, sandalwood and amber. I get so many compliments when wearing this scent and as with any V&R fragrancesC this one too lasts for many hours and is easily detectable on clothing for absolute ages too! RPR from £52.00 to £99.00.

My makeup bag also hides one too many lipsticks as I love a choice! These change quite often but my newest lip purchases are usually there for a bit so I can test them thoroughly! Nude lip liner is a must and Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk has been a favourite of mine for a while now. Creamy formula glides on the lips, leaving them only slightly sticky. A perfect base for a lippy! Browns and pinks come together in this slightly pinky nude. It's by far my most used lip liner and it goes with many of my nude lipsticks! RPR £16.00

I've been cheating on matte lipsticks & liquid lippies lately. I've been choosing lighter and creamier formulas instead. These aren't as lasting but given how moisturising they are, I forgive them the lasting power. MAC Patentpolish Lip Pencil in Kittenish is a gorgeous light glossy dusty rose. I love rose shades for daytime and the formula is ultra moisturising as well. The crayon-like bullet makes for the easiest application and I use it like a lip balm in days when I go for a sultry daytime smokey eye for example. It'll last for good 3 hours and gives moisture for twice as long too! The finish is more on a sheer side but still packs a Pigment punch, so if you love a lighter formula for spring, I highly recommend it! RPR £18.00.

Quite new in my collection is Burts Bees Lipstick in Blush Basin 501. The plastic packaging is all matte, feels light but also well made & is made from recycled materials (up to 60%!). This 100% natural lippy is formulated with ultra moisturising Moringa and Rasberry Seed Oils. The shade packs a punch of colour and has a glossy feel to it. It goes on the lips so smoothly and keeps them hydrated for hours! I really love the shade too, it's a light to medium nude with peachy & pinky tones, perfect for this time of year. It's been a while since I wore a lipstick that's so comfortable. Yes, it transfers and won't last too long (3-4 hours tops) but for the sake of hydrated lips, I'll take it. The only small con is that the lip bullet doesn't fully screws down, so you need to be careful when putting the lid on not to touch it! The packaging is also longer and takes some getting used to as you handle it slightly differently when applying the lipstick! All in all, I am loving this new release. Well done Burts Bees! RPR £9.99.

Also super new in my makeup bag is the L'Oreal Color Riche Matte in 346 Scarlet Silhouette. I'm not sure I captured the embellished matte black packaging but it's so pretty and unique with gold detail. I adore this shade! It's opaque semi-matte finish last well enough on me, with 3-4 hour wear if I'm careful. The shade is simply stunning warm true red with some slight orange tones. Red as such are super easy to pull off as they pack enough punch to be considered red but also the perfect amount of orange to make it truly a spring/summer shade! The formula is super comfortable on the lips. Forget almost chalky MAC mattes, this one's super creamy and goes on like a dream. For the perfect line, I'd use a lip liner due to the creaminess of the lipstick! What's most important, though, the shade is a signature shade of our own Leah from Devoted to Pink blog! We are all super proud of your recent collaboration with L'Oreal Hun! You go get them!!! So if you're planning on updating your lipstick collection with a classic red with a twist, check out L'Oreal Color Riche Matte in Scarlet Silhouette, it's so pretty and chic, you won't regret it! RPR £6.99.

I don't carry my wallet with me all the time as It's massive and It would take half the space so I'm on a serious looking for a cute purse! Instead, I carry my debit card and some money in a small pocket in the bag. This is on purpose too, as if I don't carry my store cards with me I am less likely to spend! It has helped me immensely with my on and off spending ban (ok, mostly off! Lol). I carry my sunglasses and the trick is that folded matte black Ray Ban Wayfarer they take very little space. Keys and my phone and I'm usually out of the door!

What do you think of my new bag? I am totally in love with it right now! I love the pinky nude shade, how small but roomy it is and the design is just to die for! It's also super inexpensive and on the offer now for only £59.00 at Debenhams! What do you carry in your bag on a daily basis? Let me know as I'm super nosey and would love a browse through your bags!

Thank You For Reading,
Love
