'Life is short - Buy the palette'
My October Love Me Beauty arrived in an another awesome makeup bag. It's the same concept as last month but with a different print. I think it's such good quality and also super cute and modern. I really like these makeup bags and they will make a great present if at some point I'll have too many to use on my own.
My Skincare Picks:
As usual I couldn't say no to some new skincare and I'm such a cleanser junkie so not one, but two cleansers ended up in my basket. Merumaya Melting Cleansing Balm (25ml sample) is a cloudy clear lightweight gel that smells super fresh and sweet, little citrus like. I am terrible at describing scents but this one's so pleasant, I honestly can't wait to using it some more. It goes on like gel and it feels very smooth on the skin. It doesn't feel oily, like most cleansers and it doesn't leave skin feeling oily afterwards.
I have a love/hate relationship with Nuxe products. I like them, but sometimes their scent isn't something I would ever go for. However seeing a cleanser, I thought I'll give it a go. Nuxe Rêve De Miel Face Cleansing and Makeup Removing Gel (15ml sample) promises to soothe and soften the skin. My skin feels pretty harsh lately. It's an amber coloured clear gel that smells quite strangely of honey. No problem here as I love honey scented skincare. I haven't properly tried it yet, so I'll have to let you know how I get on with it.
Lastly I picked up a Nuxe Crème Prodigieuse Anti-Fatique Moistirising Cream (15ml sample) , which is already a cult moisturiser from Nuxe. It's not super scented which I like and goes on very smoothly. It feels super moisturising but also sinks in instantly. It is meant for normal to combination skin and I plan on using it on my T-Zone as I have been experiencing some hormonal/oily issues in that area, despite my usually super dry skin.
My Makeup Picks:
I recently talked to you about my obsession with Make Up For Ever so I jumped on a wagon to get more bits from them as soon as I saw them on the website. I picked up two bits. MUFE Excessive Lash Mascara has a surprising great grip on the lashes and it's super black. It keeps the curl in the lash, however I find it quite tricky to apply. I will be testing it some more, because I love the effect it gives me, so I just need to find the best method of an application.
I also picked up a mini of MUFE Artist Rouge Mat in M401 which is a true red lipstick. It's probably the best semi matte formula I ever wore in terms of comfort on the lip. It does however transfer really badly so a lip liner is a must. The shade is just beautiful and I can see myself getting more shades later on.
I managed to snatch two deluxe minis from the new brow series from Benefit. Benefit Ready Set Brow Brow Mascara is a superb product. It keeps hair in line all day long. I think it's one of the best I've used. The second bit however, hasn't impressed me nearly as much. Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil in 02 has the applicator that was a pain in the backside until I played around with it more. I used to prefer the super thin pencils but now I'm not so sure, as my brows never looked better and more natural, yet they take me seconds to do in the morning.
