EVERYDAY MAKEUP DIARIES

Everyday makeup edit

I decided to start showing you my everyday makeup more regularly. It’s well overdo and I change my morning routine a lot so you’ll get to see it evolve every week/couple of weeks or whenever the mood strikes! We’ll start with some faves from couple of weeks ago because this bad blogger took some pics then forgotten all about it! It’s a great mixture and features some of my holy grail makeup as well as some newish additions! Are you ready to explore the crazy world of my morning makeup routine?

I’m all about that base, no troubles.

I know that getting that perfect base finish takes getting to know your skin, a proper skincare routine and then 6-12 months later yoh arrive at a notion that most primers and foundations just work for you! This primer - foundation combo, has been my holy grail for weeks (ok, laugh but that’s a lot for an unapologetic hoarder of 20+ foundations!!). I start with Becca First Light Priming Filter - an unsuspecting favourite of mine. The purplish tones off the primer make skin look instantly awake, glowing but not shiny. It’s a dream! Then comes the revelation that is touchinSOL Skin Top Coat in Light* is a perfect foundation. It covers everything with easy, has a light texture and gives that glow from within finish. You can get a medium coverage with just a drop or build it up to full coverage with a further half a drop!

Everyday makeup picks

My perfect light contour trio comes in a form of Tarte Shape Tape Concealer in Fair, Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Liquid in Moonstone and touchinSOL Makeup Boomer*. I first apply the concealer in a triangle under my eyes taking it down to the sides of the nose, on nose bridge, Cupid’s bow and a little on the forehead and the chin. I find blending it with a Beauty Blender works best and the shade Fair is light enough for me to truly contour with. It works great with every foundation I own too! Then take a scope of the liquid highlighters (mixed 1:1) and apply it quite heavily with a sponge on the top of my cheekbones, bridge and tip of the nose, Cupid’s bow and more lightly on the forehead and the chin. You know me, your girl likes to sparkle! The two highlighters combined gives me a perfect ultra light champagne highlight I’m in love with. Afterwards my skin looks so deliciously dewy, I’m only dusting it with RCMA No Colour Powder all over and press it in with Beauty Blender under eyes and on the sides of my nose where I don’t like to be too shiny, lightly on the t-zone and where I plan on bronzing/contouring.

Following with mostly cream routine, lately I’ve been reaching for Rosie For Autograph Cream Blusher in English Rose Flush* which gives my cheeks just a perfect amount of colour, simple flush to the skin. I rarely skip blusher as I my pale skin needs that little colour to my cheeks! A little dusting of powder ensures this stays in place for a long day at the office. I pick up a bronzer at last to give my round face some definition. I apply it Golden Rose Mineral Terracota Powder in 04 with a large duo fibre brush to the bottom of my cheekbones, concentrating the colour by the ears and only lightly bringing it towards a middle. Few more strokes on the side of my forehead and the whole hairline finishes up my bronzing routine. This shade is slightly on a warmer side but also super light which means I can contour/bronze with it easily. The formula is superb, so finally milled and soft to touch, it blends itself.

Rosie for Autograph

Dreamy eyes & saultry lips.

I rarely skip a smokey eye and these days it only takes me 5 minutes, brows included so why would I ever stop? I start with a primer, currently it’s theBalm Put a Lid On It (not shown in pictures because the bad blogger forgot to include it, bad blogger apologises!) and I apply it evenly on eyelids with my fingers. A quick dusting of of white eyeshadow sets it in place and provides a canvas for a play. I try and do brows before I move on to sculpting my eyes because I prefer having that frame first. Lately I’m all about the touchinSOL Browza in Taupe for Two*. It’s a perfect neutral shade and the gel-like formula glides on and also sets the brow hair in place. Super easy brow that takes less than a minute is appreciated in the morning and allows me to spend a bit more time on the eye look. Zoeva Matte Palette is a trusty friend and of I say so myself, one of the best palettes their ever released. All the matte shades have an amazing pigmentation and blend with ease. I usually go for reddish and brown tones but always end up with slightly different look. It’s do versatile! A little bit of a sparkle comes from my latest obsession Stila Magnificent Metals Glow & Glitter Liquid Eyeshadow in Wanderlust which is a stunning pink/green/gold duo-chrome! I apply it with the application on the mid lid to create a bit of halo effect and only ever so lightly on the inner corners! It’s beautiful and so easy to use in the morning. I finish with few coats of my holy grail L’Oreal Paradise Mascara that give my lashes volume and length! It’s the best mascara I’ve used in years and I’m currently on a third one which shows a real commitment lol.

To give my lips a fuller effect, I apply bronzer again, just lightly on the bottom lip line and a bit more highlighter on a Cupid’s bow. Then comes a red lippy because you rarely find me without it. Statement lip is my security blanket that makes me more confident, even when anxiety sometimes cripples me, you’d never tell. Rosie for Authograph in Super Model Kiss* is a stunning red with orange tones, one I reach for a lit these days. The colour payoff is incredible, it gives an opaque finish in one coat. It stays put too for a good 4-6 hours without bleeding or smudging. Easy to re-apply throughout the day, as the creamy consistency works like a charm of a lip balm. Not to mention the beautiful rose gold packaging with stunning logo detail that feels luxuriously heavy in hand. I have a thing for magnetic clasp and well, this one has it, so I’m sold!

  1. I love that Touch In Sol foundation and know that I'll get even more use out of it when Spring arrives! I don't think I could do a smokey eye every day - if I'm in a rush, I use my bronzer on my eyes! xx

    1. It helps me a lot to wake up; especially as my hands and arms aren’t too great in the morning. I get a lot of weakness in them, so manual tasks allow them to get better quicker if that makes sense xx

  2. I really need to try out shape tape concealer! I feel so behind with the times!

  3. Shape Tape has become a 'can't live without' product for me! I definitely want to try the RCMA powder for setting once I use up some of the ones I have (which is taking forever haha)
