COSY WINTER PAMPER

I’m all about that cosy feeling. Winter time is usually pretty gloomy here in the UK. In the last couple of months, we survived a bit of frost, snow and a lot of winds and rain. I really like coming back home after a day in the office, putting a candle on & enjoying a bit of a pamper. If you fancy seeing what’s been on agenda lately, check out my beauty picks!

Cleanse & exfoliate.

If I plan on masking, I need to ensure my face is properly cleansed. Lately, I’m all about that extra step with Perricone MD Blue Plasma Cleansing Treatment. I just soak a cotton pad with the gel-like formula & swipe across my face and neck to ensure not even a little product’s left. You don’t even have to rinse afterwards! Micellar molecules and Blue Plasma technology work together are not only gentle but also a deep cleanser which helps support and condition the skin. You can almost see it working, as complexion becomes radiant and looks healthy when used regularly. I tend to use it as a quick morning cleanse or as a last step before a mask!

Exfoliation is a key to masking and I find Merumaya Skin Brightening Exfoliating Peel* to be not only gentle but also effective. Few minutes with this gel-like treatment allows the skin to rid of old cells, unclog pores, helps fight blemishes and it smells incredible just like other Merumaya products. Combination of Glycolic Acid and enzymes refine and re-texturize the skin and gives the most glorious glow. Lovely to use at night, before a mask as it allows the skin to get the best results from the treatments that come after! The winner in my book!

Unwind.

What better way to unwind than with a little candle and a face mask? I adore Gemporia Revive Candle* which smells of roses and makes my room feel like a spa for a moment. The notes of rose aren’t too over empowering either, just a lovely flicker of a candle and a bit of scent to relax and put your feet up after a long day!

I’ve been working a lot and it can be very daunting on my skin. I really liked Mask Korea Too Many Late Nights Sheet Mask (got mine via Latest in Beauty subscription) which is a 3-step pamper! You start with pre-mask foaming cleanser which is lovely and doesn’t strip my skin out of moisture (I'd used it before Perricone MD Blue Plasma), then follow with a lovely sheet mask and finish with a post-mask evening moisturiser! I found the trio to not only get rid of any signs of dehydration but also gave it a healthy glow as well as feeling ultra nourishing. My skin was superb the next morning, soft without a sign of texture! Highly recommended!

Youthful neck.

I really enjoy Dermalogica Skin Smoothing Cream*, especially when used on my neck at night. When I gained weight, it became so important to take care of this area with the little more excess skin there. This moisturiser is light yet powerful and leaves skin really smooth. I apply it quite generously all over the neck, décolletage & chest for a bit of a firming action. A super dry skin may want to follow with a facial oil, choose one of your faves and slather it on!

In between the sheets.

What’s better than chilling with a good book in bed? I really enjoy that hour to myself! You know my love for sweet floral & fruity scents so it’s no wonder I love Being by Sanctuary SPA Water Lotus & Pomelo Body Mist*. I don’t actually use it on my body but I spritz it on my duvet & pillow. It’s so light and lovely without any alcohol-like scent which is what usually puts me off drugstore body mists! It’s sweet yet light, just enough of lovely scent delivered when and where I need it!

What do you like to do to unwind after a long day at work and/or with the kids?
