BEAUTY ON A BUDGET #2

Budget makeup & skincare

Hey budget beauty, I see what you've done here. I may not always show it but I try and find you guys the best out of both worlds. The luxury formula doesn't always mean spending £££s and today's the day to appreciate that. We're taking it back to drugstore/high street and it's going to be GREAT. Are you ready?

Drugstore/highstreet beauty came a long way. I feel it's been evolving for years now and as I started to appreciate quality over quantity as a general rule, budget beauty kept up. A brilliant example is the Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define concealer in C1 that promises full coverage and long-lasting formula. It's by far THE BEST on a budget, move on Collection, there's a new player in town! Creamy formula, shades to suit any complexion and almost full coverage that also feels light and weightless! I'd be comparing it to you know what soon enough, so watch this space.

Keeping up with the makeup, L'Oreal dropped some gorgeous newness on us recently. I couldn't say no to the L'Oreal Luminizing Primer and I'm so glad it came home with me. If you're looking for that ultra glowy formula and can't fork out £30+ on Becca's bestseller, you NEED this. Shout out to all my pale beauties too. The sheen you get here is so cool toned, it's actually better suited to us that many others. It'll also help your foundation stay fresh and looking healthy all day.

My love for L'Oreal Paradise Mascara knows no bounds and it's baaack in my life. That's right I gave up and repurchased! It is by far the most incredible brush/formula that came out of a budget brand. It's a total dupe for Too Faced Better than Sex and let me tell you, it's BETTER. I will always love the Too Faced version and will continue to buy but I have to go waterproof with it where I don't have to with L'Oreal. Having said that, they are finally launching the waterproof version in the UK sometimes soon so watch this space because the packaging looks insane and you know, I'll be the first to try it! Blah blah blah, I could go on and on, but the simple truth is: go and buy it now, you won't regret it!

You know I love my brows. I'm kinda possessive about them. I won't allow anyone to touch them.  iT basically means all the grooming is done by yours truly and I'm no pro but hey ho, better me than end up with wonky brows right? I'm so happy to have Brushworks HD Combination Tweezer Set* in my life that not only allows me to keep my babies on fleek, but also helps with fake lash application, removing splinters (that's right, I DIY... remind me to tell you one day how I ended up with splinters in my behind... PG friendly too LOL)

Let's move on to skincare and boys & girls, I'm about to blow your mind! A little all natural brand Urban Veda launched in Boots recently and I was lucky enough to receive a little something to review. I've been working Urban Veda Reviving Facial Oil* every evening for more than 3 weeks and I love it. Combination of argan rose and Ayurvedic shatavari oils nourish deeply but also balance my skin. It has a non-comedogenic formula which won't block your pores and boasts anti-ageing properties. I simply use it by pressing 5-6 drops onto my face and neck as the last step in my routine. Not the cheapest by a mile, but having a true natural formula available in the drugstore is a great find. Currently out of stock in Boots, but you can check back here as it should be returning soon!

Another marvellous drugstore find is the Boots Ingredients Lotus Flower & Tiger Lily Sheet Mask (POST). The glow it gives my skin is unreal and simply unfound in a sheet mask on a budget. 15 minute is all you need to sit back, relax and allow this £2.50 per pop sheet mask to do its magic. Enriched with floral extracts of lotus and tiger lily, it brightens, moisturises and soothes at the same time. If you're in a mood for a bit of shopping at Boots, make sure you stock up on this one!

Beauty on a budget

I've enjoyed browsing through Boots, Superdrug and Feel Unique on a lookout for budget finds. I almost forgot how great it feels to find some incredible beauty that won't break the budget! What high street stores do you enjoy shopping at?
