I tend to get obsessed with a shade and forget others for weeks, but I’m trying to be good and use my extensive collection more. This autumn saw me reaching for a selection of muted shades, from browns to mauves with an occasional darker statement lip. I haven’t bought a single burgundy relaying mostly on my current collection. Few lipsticks have stolen my heart and lips and today I’d like to share them with you.

My first and only Chanel lipstick make an appearance. It’s a gorgeous pinky-mauve nude that’s comfortable to wear and easy to top up throughout the day. It’s one of those shades that are so easy to wear and suit any makeup look. From daytime to evening, the formula moisturises and keeps my lips looking their best. I can’t praise it enough! It’s pricey yes but the formula makes it worth every penny. I’ve been reaching for it a lot lately!
MAC Matte Lipstick in Whirl | £16.50 | POST
One of the most cult MAC shades have made a comeback and I’m loving it! Rich cool brown is super easy to wear in autumn. Matte doesn’t look too dry but soft. It’s been on my lips non stop! Ultra long-wearing, it stays put for hours. After 5+ hours, it’s a little drying but nothing like a liquid lips formula. Again super easy to re-apply during the day. It’s my everyday dream!
The newest addition to the lipstick collection makes me wonder why I resisted buying Marc Jacobs Beauty for so long. Sure it’s pricey, but the formula is groundbreaking. The pigment is insane here and lipstick really stays put. It’s not matte, the satin finish somehow manages to stay on all day. Easy to apply and re-apply, it’s a gorgeous dark fuchsia with a lot of purple tones mixed in. I’ve been wearing it a lot and get so many compliments! My first but definitely not last!
