BALANCING FACIAL AT HOME WITH IMAGE SKINCARE ORMEDIC

What’s better than chatting about skincare? Applying said skincare and admiring results! Today, I’m excited to announce a launch/re-launched of the Image Skincare Ormedic range - natural meets clinical skincare focusing on great ingredients and even better results. I’ve been testing the collection for a couple of weeks now and ready to share my first impressions with you.

FACIAL AT HOME EXPERIENCE

Twice a week, I would give myself a whole facial experience with Image Ormedic collection and it’s where I truly appreciate the range. If not just for skincare benefits but almost a full aromatherapy experience. As you know I’m a strong believer in the magic of citrusy scents - they uplift my mood every single time!

CLEANSING & EXFOLIATING

I’d start by mixing an Image Skincare Balancing Facial Cleanser* (RPR £30) and Exfoliating Lime Pearl Polisher* (RPR £38) to give my face a good but gentle scrub. I’m not usually a fan of ‘bits’, but the exfoliating gel isn’t annoying me as said ‘bits’ are easy to wash off which is usually my biggest issue with mechanical scrubs. The foaming cleanser is gentle, it feels like a melting gel that has some foaming action and it doesn’t feel stripping. I’d give it around 1-2 minutes long massage and wash it off, first with a cloth, then some more with lukewarm water.

IMAGE SKINCARE ORMEDIC COLLECTION REVIEW

MASKING

To appreciate the Balancing Gel Mask* (RPR £38) is to use it chilled :) the formula is purifying but not drying, it has a great consistency and when applied cold - it’s currently a huge yes from my often reddened face (bloody central heating!). I think this is great for oily and combination skin, that needs a bit of purifying action, drier skin may not like it as much. I use it on t-zone mainly.

SERUM TIME

The serum time is probably my favourite pastime. To serum or not to serum is never a question for this drama queen! The Ormedic Balancing Anti-Oxidant Serum* (RPR £58) is just so lush, again aimed at combination skin, as it hydrates but also balances it quite well. Right now, I layer it with Hyaluronic Acid or some other serums as my dehydrated skin is in bits thanks to central heating and following the being poorly time! I adore the scent - it’s just so uplifting and energising! Perfect after a long hard day or to wake up in the morning. I can’t comment on long term benefits as I only used it for almost a couple of weeks, but judging by my prior experience with Image Skincare serums - they tend to work hard!

WHAT TO BUY FROM IMAGE SKINCARE ORMEDIC RANGE?

MOISTURISER

Lastly, the biggest gem in the collection - Ormedic Balancing Bio-Peptide Cream* (RPR £78) is simply lush! Imagine buttery texture that doesn’t sit on your skin, but sinks in easily and isn’t too heavy! Ormedic range does the balancing thing so well! I just adore the texture, my skin appreciates the formula and the delivery of peptides, antioxidants and vitamins. It’s a glow in a jar but without the film /oily residue, which makes it a perfect choice for more oily skin types!

And finally a step I never miss: the Ormedic Lip Enhancement Complex* has been a firm favourite of mine for what seems like forever. There is truly no other lip balm that does it quite as well: the scent is lovely, the formula ultra-nourishing and the only one that truly works when my lips are very dry.

IMAGE SKINCARE ORMEDIC COLLECTION RE-IMAGINED BUT IS IT ANY GOOD?

You can now try the reimagined Ormedic range for yourself as it relaunched on their website. The minis set I was gifted includes 4 samples include the cleanser, gel mask, serum and moisturiser, and I’ve only missed testing the Balancing Eye Lift Gel, a glorious formula I was able to test during a breakfast event with Image Skincare last month!

FINAL THOUGHTS

I’m eyeing the eye cream (super light gel formula), serum (watery hydrating must have) & moisturiser (buttery & melting dream) mostly when thinking of full-size purchases! Whilst aimed at combo and oily types, I simply adore the formulas on my normal to combo skin. I’m huge on scents, and this citrusy line is hitting all the boxes. I like cleanser and polisher as well, but they aren’t products I would always reach for, as I simply prefer non-roaming, melting oils when it comes to my prefered cleansing needs. That said, if you’re into foaming cleansers and scrub - these are quite perfect, as you’re not sacrificing on hydration, which is a case for a lot of similar formulas I tried over the years.
