Michael Bublé By Invitation Peony Noir review

Michael Bublé's new scent attracts a confident woman who knows what she wants and when she wants it. By Invitation Peony Noir* is simple, classy yet sensual and makes for an enticing addition to the existing range. Mr Bublé is here to cement his position in the fragrance world with a brand new perfume. Is it a winner though?

I’m a big fan of simplistic packaging and Peony Noir does it well. Charcoal/black ombré round bottle topped with the rose gold lid could be a perfect addition to your perfume tray or as a Christmas gift. I like it better than the original bottle, it is definitely more mysterious and sultry

By Invitation Peony Noir* starts fruity and sweet with notes of rose, peony, orange blossom and vanilla with heavier sandalwood and cedar at its base. You can call it romantic, there’s something really understated in here. It’s simple and sweet but feels fresh and new. I’ve not got anything quite like it in my collection.

It’s refreshing to see a true potential in the brand taking it further than any other celebrity fragrance. Maybe it’s because it feels more adult than others I came across. The scent is stunning, very elegant, yet sexy. I class myself as a little fragrance snob and the fragrance is definitely up there with designer scents.  I love and appreciate a good bottle of perfume so to see By Invitation Peony Noir* so easily claim a place in my favourites stash makes me really happy.

To sum up, I really enjoy the classic bottle and the scent hidden within. Priced at £42 for 100ml Eau de perfume By Invitation Peony Noir* won’t break the bank and with holidays coming - it will make a perfect Christmas present to your Mom, girlfriend, friend, fiancé or wife!

  1. I agree this definitely feels more adult than most celebrity fragrance launches, also Michael Buble? THE Michael Buble, King of Christmas, is now King of Fragrance. I am surprised and a little awed, it sounds gorgeous and I love the packaging and fickle human I am packaging is always what pushes me to buy fragrances. Will definitely scour the racks for this in The Fragrance Shop. Thanks for sharing Dorota, great post. Hope you had a good week! Xx

    1. Thank you darling! I’m always little scared of reviewing fragrances as I don’t think I write as well as for example Sunday Girl (whose fragrance posts make me swoon!) but I do love perfumes and I think I should push myself to review more!

  2. This sounds gorgeous! Love the packaging too.

  3. Oh wow I think I would love this one! it sounds like it would smell amazing!
