NEW & NOTEWORTHY BEAUTY

New & noteworthy beauty

Light play

New & Noteworthy is back and I’m super excited to share with you some of my current faves. Some I’ve used for a while but haven’t fully featured yet (bad blogger!) like the hairbrush that changed my life and the condition of my hair! Or an exfoliant I take with me on every work/leisure trip that works miracles. Without any further blabbering, let us all dig in, shall we?

Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm

Why oh why it took me so long to discover Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm? It may actually knock down Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel from a top spot (I still love you bae!). What can I say, I’m a sucker for a good scent and if that means citrus, you know I’m all over it. The combination of Moringa seed extract, Wild Sea Fennel and Vitamin E helps to minimise pores, Orange, Neroli and Mandarin extract not only gives it a yummy scent but also revitalise while Jasmine, Cedarwood and Rose help recondition dull, dehydrated and dry skin. Perfect for all dry to combination, as well as sensitive and mature skin types. It doubles as a soothing mask too and makes me want to get my hands on full size pronto!

Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm

Dr Dennis Gross Daily Peel

Dennis Gross Daily Peel*

The discovery of last year for sure, Daily Peel is a superb exfoliant for any skin types. What it does to my skin is unreal. It works like polish for wood, instantly my complexion is brightened and glowing. We’re talking THE GLOW here, as never experienced with any others! I love the individually packed pads, as it ensures the pads haven’t dried out and are travel-friendly. Two step treatment to the glorious glow. Apply Step 1 Surface Refiner first to the dry and clean skin in circular motions until pad feels dry. Wait two minutes and repeat with Step 2 Deeper Treatment. Allow two more minutes before following other skincare. You will not look back, it’s that good!

Dermalogica Daily Superexfoliant*

New in from Dermalogica, Daily Superexfoliant is a superb daily treatment. Powder formula ensures all the goodness of ingredients gets activated on contact with water. If you’re looking to refine texture, you’ll love this. Apply a teaspoon of product onto very wet hands and mix the product. I apply in circular motions all over my face, neck and décolletage. You can feel it exfoliate your skin instantly! The smooth skin at your fingertips, literally! The combination of anti pollutant powerful antioxidants and smoothing Alpha Hydroxy Acids helps your fight against air-pollution and reduce environmental stress on the skin. Great for combination and oily types especially as the activated charcoal is known for its strong purifying properties. Dry skin can use it too, I recommend a facial mist after and following with skincare shortly after that.

touchinSOL I'm Very Useful Makeup Boomer

Image Skincare Radiance Mask

touchinSOL Makeup Boomer*

Makeup Boomer’s a glow’s best friend. It’s such a multitasker too. Use it on its own to banish dullness, mix it with a foundation for a glowing finish or use as a highlighter base. Clean, almost white shine works beautifully on pale complexion and gives enough glow it can be worn on its own. I love it as such on my lazy, working from home days, when I still like to make an effort and look presentable but I skip powder because who cares if my foundation lasts more than 8 hours. I apply it using the spatula in the packaging and then lightly blend it out with my Beauty Blender. I’m obsessed with the finish it gives alone but if you’d like to add some powder highlight afterwards, it creates the perfect base for it. I mixed it with a couple of foundations so far and find it doesn’t affect the formula either. That’s a yes from me!

Image Biomolecular Anti-Aging Radiance Mask*

This arrived in the post couple of weeks ago and I finally got to test it recently. You know my love for sheet masks but lately nothing quite compared to my ultimate faves from Blossom Jeju. The new Image mask is made from hydrogel-like ‘sheet’ and if you follow me around socials you know, I prefer it to the traditional ones as they seem to fit my face better. It's soaked in a lot of product that smells heavenly. I used it at night so I ended up covering my neck, décolletage, chest, even arms and belly with the remaining product. I had it on for 20 minutes ensuring the mask doesn’t dry out on my skin. The idea behind this rule is to allow the ingredients to work and hydrate your skin, but once mask starts drying it takes the moisture with it. It really works, so try it next time you’re having a little you time. My skin after was super hydrated, soft and glowing. I patted the remaining of the residue and left it to work for 20 minutes before following up with Kiehl’s Midnight Concentrate. The next morning, I woke up to the nourished and happy skin, so I can wholeheartedly recommend this if you’re after a soothing yet effective formula. My skin loved it!

Wetbrush

New in beauty

Wet Brush Detangler Tattoo Tiger Lily*

Forget Tangle Teezers of the world, I didn’t know a good hairbrush until I met Wet Brush Detangler. I don’t know what it is, as it looks so inconspicuous, but my hair simply loves it. No longer am I losing hair while brushing. It doesn’t ‘enrage’ my wavy hair either, I don’t experience any frizz or static! I’m amazed. The only minus is cleaning it, which is a pain in comparison to sure easy TT cleaning, but hey, it’s so worth it! Amazing designs help too, you can choose from so many! Mine’s a tattoo like Tiger Lily - isn’t it beautiful? I’ll definitely venture more into Wet Brush other collections. Wet Brush Shine is on my to buy list!
