On my face lately |
So it took me an hour to come up with another sh**ty title - yay me! But, I’m here & I’m ready to talk about the beauty bits I’ve been super into lately. Be that skincare, makeup or an accessory ‘On my face lately’ will replace my monthly edits because I can talk about my faves whenever and not be restricted to any timeline. Welcome to the first episode to what I hope to be a relaxed way to approach blogging as makeup gods my witness, I don’t need no more anxiety triggers in my life.
Dewy skin in a bottle
It’s not a surprise I adore this Hungarian brand and the new product in my routine, the Omorovicza Illuminating Moisturiser has dominated my routine for the past few weeks. You only need a pump and maybe a half to fully cover face & neck and seeing how little is dispensed the bottle should last forever. Thank skincare gods for that as it’s a little pricey at £85 for 50ml. It’s enriched with mineral-rich water, acerol (a form of vitamin C) and tocopherol (vitamin E) to boost radiance and protect my skin from free radicals and environmental damage. I tend to use all vitamin C boosting products in the morning to ensure a clean break from acids and retinol which powers could be affected by it. It leaves my skin illuminated, moisturised and prepped for makeup in the morning. If you’re dry or combination (I am more combo in summer) it's a real winner.

Fenty Beauty Pro-Filt'r Soft Matte Foundation + Brushworks X-Luxx Large Oval Brush |
All about that base
I’ve recently praised this duo on Instagram if you follow me there but it deserves all the glory so here we go again. Fenty Beauty Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Foundation wasn’t the easiest to apply until I tried it with Brushworks X-Luxx Large Oval Brush 08*. The dense brush makes an application a dream, builds up coverage and leaves it perfect. It’s quite a team in my opinion. The foundation works on well prepped dry skin and will work on combination but I’m not convinced it’s blurring and long lasting enough to work with oilier skin types. In fact, if you’d like to read up on it more, Leah from Devoted to Pink had a post about it here. I usually finish with a bit of powder and Too Faced Peach Perfect Mattifying Setting Powder is really finely milled, doesn’t cake up, smells divine of peaches and fig and can ve re-applied throughout the day if you’re in the need. It gives the softest matte finish and you’d have to try very hard to overdo it. I tend to use a soft & large powder brush like this one to apply it with.

touchinSOL Metallist in Titania |
Pink and gold go together as one
touchinSOL Metallist in Titania comes with a foiled eyeshadow and glitter in the stunning pink gold. I’ve been using the foil eyeshadow end all over my lids recently (over primer) to act as a base for pink good metallic shadows. Probably the easiest eye makeup out there, the shades make a play with light so my eyes look bigger and the blue/grey pops thanks to the shade. Sadly it was available only as part of a limited edition set but you can grab other shades here.
