3 MASKS TO TRY THIS AUTUMN

3 masks to try this autumn

With a change in seasons, my skin tends to go through a little purging stage. New season, new challenges with heating on (cosy!!) at work and home and change in temperature every time you leave a building, cold winds and rain, your skin surely needs a little special care. The easiest way to add a little extra to your routine is face mask and I’ve been testing a few new ones worth your immediate attention. Ready or not, here they come... (I know, I’m hilarious!) lol.

Five minute facial

Affordable exfoliating facial at home

Alba Botanica Hawaiian Facial Mask

The affordable and deliciously citrusy gel enzyme peel has stolen my heart from the first use. A thin layer of Alba Botanica Hawaiian Facial Mask* is all you need to dissolve the old cell bindings and reveal smoother glowing complexion. Papaya and pineapple enzymes work in only 5 minutes cleansing impurities and aloe vera soothes and repairs. It’s a great pick me up for a mid-week treat when you struggle for time, but want a little exfoliating session for your skin. The formula is free from Aluminium, artificial colours, Parabens, Phthalates, Propylene Glycol and is not tested on animals! Oh, and did I mention the scent? It’s mind-blowing!

♦Ingredients/INCI
AQUA (WATER), ALOE BARBADENSIS LEAF JUICE (1), GLYCERIN, PROTEASE ALGIN,CARICA PAPAYA (PAPAYA) FRUIT EXTRACT, POLYSORBATE 20, ANANAS SATIVUS (PINEAPPLE) FRUIT EXTRACT, VANILLA PLANIFOLIA FRUIT EXTRACT, ZINGIBER ZERUMBET EXTRACT, PANTHENOL, XANTHAN GUM, BENZYL ALCOHOL, ETHYLHEXYLGLYCERIN, PHENOXYETHANOL, LIMONENE, FRAGRANCE (PARFUM) , CHLOROPHYLLIN-COPPER COMPLEX (CI 75810)

Honey glazed facial

Drugstore honey & sugar exoliating mask

Skinfood Black Sugar Honey Wash Off Mask

If you like honey and I know I do, you won’t be able to say no to |. Brown sugar and honey in Skinfood Black Sugar Honey Wash Off Mask exfoliate and moisturise in just a few minutes. The scent is warm and sweet so the whole process is simply yummy. After cleansing, I apply it evenly to still moist skin. You may need to give it a good whirl before as the formula needs a little mixing. When applied, massage it in, only lightly pressing with your fingers. After 2-3 minutes you can rinse it off. What happens next is truly spectacular. My skin feels soft and ultra moisturised. If a texture is your dominant issue, the prolonged use will help minimalise the uneven skin tone.

Capillaries be gone facial

Capillaries prone skin saviour

Nacomi Goodbye Red Skin Redness Reducing Face Mask

Ok, so maybe Nacomi Goodbye Red Skin Redness Reducing Mask* won’t treat capillaries prone skin per se, but it’ll help reduce redness and calm the sensitive skin in just a few minutes. Formula enriched with Arnica Montana, Horse Chestnut and Witch Hazel improves microcirculation and helps to improve the condition and visibility of spider veins and capillaries. Ultra-soothing, this clay-based mask doesn’t fully dry if applied generously but it’ll set lightly. I tend to remove it with warm water after 15-30mins, depending on my skin needs. The addition of blueberry extract (strengthens walls of blood vessels), grape seed and wild rose oils ( brighten and work to reduce sensitivity) and aloe vera which deeply moisturizes, protects and help repair the skin.

♦Ingredients/INCI
AQUA, MONTMORILLONITE, VITIS VINIFERA SEED OIL, GLYCERIN, PANTHENOL, ROSA MOSCHATA OIL, GLYCERYL STEARATE, CETEARYL ALCOHOL, CETYL ALCOHOL, TOCOPHERYL ACETATE, HELIANTHUS ANNUUS SEED OIL, PROPYLENE GLYCOL, SORBITOL, STEARIC ACID, ALOE BARBADENSIS LEAF EXTRACT, SODIUM LAUROYL GLUTAMATE, BENZYL ALCOHOL, PARFUM, ALCOHOL, VACCINIUM MYRTILLUS FRUIT EXTRACT, HESPERIDIN METHYL CHALCONE, DEHYDROACETIC ACID, MALVA SYLVESTRIS EXTRACT, AESCULUS HIPPOCASTANUM SEED EXTRACT, HAMAMELIS VIRGINIANA LEAF EXTRACT, RUSCUS ACULEATUS ROOT EXTRACT, ARNICA MONTANA FLOWER EXTRACT.
