L'Oréal Woke Up Like This

L’Oreal never fails to impress and their new collection celebrates the natural beauty & a little cheeky ‘I wake up like this’ motto. The formulas are light, yet perfectly fitting for spring/summer with peachy tones, on point highlighters & even a little bb cream to give your skin the tiniest bit of coverage. I’ve been opting for easy morning routine lately, so this collection ticks all the boxes!

Glowing base.

L’Oréal Bonjour Nudista in Light is colour adapting BB Cream that offers a sheer coverage and very natural dewy finish. I usually pair with my newest obsession Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter *you can win it here* which gives the base even more glow! The coverage while sheer blurs away small imperfections, covers redness and gives you that healthy looking skin we all wish we had. I usually apply it with a dense brush to build on coverage slightly. It’s hydrating and not overly shiny. Surprisingly it also lasts well all day if I add a little powder to set it with!

L’Oréal Glow Mon Amour in Champagne is such a stunning liquid highlighter! Golden champagne tone and the formula that’s so easy to use and blend. Usually, with liquid highlighters, I have to go with a brush as somehow the sponge isn’t enough to blend it in, but this one is just so easy to use! Blend it with your fingers, brush or a sponge for the most glorious, yet natural looking flow. It gives a serious glow but because it melts into the skin so well, it leaves it looking like ‘you woke up like this’. There are two items in this collection I’d buy over and over and this is one of them!

A flush of colour.

I don’t know about you but I don’t leave the house without a bit of bronzer/contour action! L’Oréal’s new Back to Bronze Matte Bronzing Powder is a perfect combination of both. It adds enough colour to be used as a bronzer but isn’t too warm (even on my super pale rosy complexion) not to be able to contour with. The lightest shade works well on me, the formula blends easily and picks up just the right amount of product. The scent is quite characteristic to L’Oréal, little flowery, not unpleasant but worth noting for those that prefer unscented makeup.

I don’t think I’ve used a different blush since getting L’Oréal Life’s a Peach! It smells of peaches and gives that perfect flush of colour I go for! I love peachy tones always but they are especially flattering in spring/summer. If you’re after that healthy flush, it’s the one! I love using a fluffy brush to apply it to the apples of my cheeks and blending it in with the bronzer. I also use a bit on the sides of my forehead and a bit at the tip of my nose for that slightly sun-kissed look! I already repurchased it & gave to my Mom and it suits her so well too! It’s purrfect!

Who doesn’t like a good quality highlighter palette? What I love most about L’Oréal La Vie En Glow Highlighting Palette in Cool is the very basic and small packaging. So travel-friendly, it has a firm place in my on the go makeup bag. I opted for cooler shades and I’m in love. From pale, almost lilac off-white, through a light champagne, almost peachy shimmer to darker gold, all shades give really pretty finish and can be build up to that wow Nikkie Tutorials in the house effect! Oh and if you're not as ghostly as me, I'd go for Warm Glow featuring stunning golds.

Will you be picking up anything from the new L’Oreal collection? Let me know your thoughts if you do! And if you’re ever inspired by anything I rave about, don’t forget to tag me on socials & use #BDQmademedoit ❤️
