UNBOXING THE LOOK FANTASTIC THE BEAUTY EGG 2018

Look Fantastic The Beauty Egg 2018

Look Fantastic The Beauty Egg 2018

You might have noticed the lack of Beauty Drama Queen on your feed but this girl just needed a little break (thanks, Aussie flu!). I’m back today and what a comeback it is. The brand spanking new unboxing of Look Fantastic The Beauty Egg is bound to have all the skincare & makeup addicts running for their credit cards. And how precious is the packaging? If you’d like to know what’s hidden inside this gigantic box, keep on reading!

In an attempt to make my posts shorter (OK, I’ll try at least!) I decided to start with a nice & easy unboxing of this stunner! How have I just found out of Look Fantastic annual Easter beauty egg extravaganza? I must have been living under a rock! The beautiful turquoise box is enormous (here shown next to my 13’ MacBook Pro for comparison) and houses 7 plastic matte metallic eggs! Inside there are 7 beauty products most of which are full size! It’s such a great value for money too. For £65 you get just over £200 worth of products! That’s a nice beauty haul if I say so myself.

Look Fantastic The Beauty Egg 2018
Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm

This year edition stuns with brands such as Omorovicza, Pixi, Illamasqua, Kérastase and more featuring. Unfortunately, it’s sold out - here - but Look Fantastic is already taking orders (wish list) for next year. If you sign up and some stock of 2018 edit miraculously comes in (let’s all say a little prayer!) you’ll be the first to know! The gorgeous outer box is beautifully made and big enough to store my hat in, so I’m keeping it. I’ll also fill in the plastic eggs with little presents for my Mom for Easter hunt, so all in all - it’s all recyclable :)

Let’s have a very quick look at the products now shall we? Starting with Omorovicza Illuminating Moisturiser or the reason why I bought The Beauty Egg the very moment it came out! Priced at £85 for 50ml isn’t cheap, so getting the box made sense. I also buy practically anything that promises glow so there you have it. I’m interested to see if Ruby Crystal blurs out all my little lines and imperfections. Watch this space!

A major factor in a purchase the Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm (£47 for 100ml, here 50ml deluxe sample) doesn’t disappoint. It smells as beautiful as I remembered and I can’t wait to have it back in my routine having used up a small sample I’ve had before. Inside the Emma Hardie egg, I also found one of her Cleansing Cloths which is always a bonus.

What's inside Look Fantastic The Beauty Egg 2018

Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel

I’ve been Pixi-obsessed since becoming their brand ambassador recently (I KNOW!) so of course, I wanted to try their new Pixi Rose Tonic (full size £10 for 100ml). The updated formula based on rosewater promises reducing redness and I’m all for it. It has a tiny amount of AHA (Citric Acid) but other than that it looks very gentle and soothing and I plan on using it in the morning.

I haven’t had much experience with Elemis as a brand but I hope to get to know them with Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel (£32 for 50ml - full size). I usually love enzyme peels and Papaya Enzyme has been tested by me many times in other products (here & here) so I can’t wait to try it. I’m currently using up couple exfoliating treatments so it may not be straight away, but I’ll report back.

I haven’t used Kérastase haircare in a while so I’m excited to have their Aura Botanica Shampoo & Conditioner (travel samples - £22-£25.50 for full-size 200ml each). The formula promises to revive dull, lacklustre hair & I plan on taking them to Spain when I go later on in the year.

Next up is the Illamasqua Beyond Veil Primer (full size - £34 for 30ml). The water-based formula promises to glide on the skin leaving it visibly smoother and with a healthy glow. I love hydrating & illuminating primers so I’m excited to give this one a go!

Last but certainly not least the Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Multi-Usage Dry Oil (full size - £18 for 50ml) is a lovely add on to this incredible box. I adore adding a little to my bath for a silky smooth skin & it’s great on the body too. This cult oil formula was recently updated last year with Tsubaki Oil which creates a free radical fighting shield helping to combat the daily pollution.

All the products inside Look Fantastic The Beauty Egg

I’m so pleased I managed to get my hands on Look Fantastic The Beauty Egg 2018 edition. I look forward to using all the products and judging by a very quick browse at the ingredients, all should suit me very well. Skincare wise, this box was aimed mostly at the dry & dehydrated skin, something we may all need after the unusually long winter this year. Some, I’ll put to use quickly (Pixi Rose Tonic) and some may need to wait for their turn, but I’m super impressed with the massive savings!
