HOW TO: MEMORABLE ANNIVERSARY #AD

Do you celebrate anniversaries? I personally love those days when you can do something special for your better half. Be that anniversary of friendship or a relationship, it’s important to make it special. People who we choose to surround ourselves with, the relationships we’re in are important, so it’s good to remember those first times and spend a day reminiscing and celebrating the bond we have with them. Today I’d like to share my favorite anniversary memories with you.

The ‘full on romantic’ one.

I was awoken on an anniversary day to my apartments filled with little clues and flowers. Every clue led me to an another bouquet of flowers and a clue. Each clue was different and it reminded me of days we spent together. After eight clues, I finally found my gift, which was a lovely jewelry set if I remember correctly. The whole scene was so romantic, I loved all the little clues and of course, the flowers everywhere made it all very special.

The ‘you know me best’ one.

Every couple drops hints to each other and I’m guilty of it too. I was obsessed with The Discovery of Witches series and the moment I started Book 1, I knew I need the rest of books in the trilogy. They were sold out in every store around us and the delivery would take weeks, so my other half decided to travel to a different part of the country to get me Book 2 and 3 in the series. It wasn’t the most expensive gift nor particularly romantic, but the thought and sacrifice behind it meant a lot.

The ‘cute’ one.

I’m all about celebrating memories. Why not make a poster of your love by choosing some of the photos of your relationship, print them and create a collage of memories in the frame? Many printers like HP Envy All-in-One Wireless Inkjet Printer will do a job and you can do it at home saving you money and time. It also comes with a free 4-month trial of HP Instant Ink* making sure you won’t ever run out, especially on an important day. What better way to celebrate your anniversary, than with beautiful memories?

The ‘you’re picky, here’s a voucher’ one.

After few years it really takes an imagination to come up with gifts you haven’t thought if and bought before. Sometimes it’s important to let go and just treat your other half with either the cash or the vouchers so they can just go & shop for whatever tickles their fancy! It’s knowing they like to choose their own gifts that makes it special here. Why not make it special and take them out for a meal in their favorite restaurants after an afternoon spent shopping?

The ‘sh*t I forgot’ one.

Ok, so you woke up with a dreadful feeling you forgot something. Your better half is obviously in the mood but you are rushing into work and don’t have the time? Don’t you worry? Spend a day sending them little clues via text message or some cute photos asking them to be ready. Why not order a bouquet of flowers and get them delivered to her work (I’d love that and lots of companies offer the same day delivery!). Or pick up a meal for two at Marks & Spencer and make sure you get home before your better half to get it ready? Anniversaries don’t have to be big, it’s the thought that counts.

There are many ways to celebrate your special day and I’m sure you’ll choose one that fits you and your relationship best. What are your most memorable anniversaries?

  2. We always celebrate the anniversary of when we got together... It gets more elaborate each year! The first year we just went to Nandos. Last year was 5 years and we went to Barcelona! I think it's going to be hard to top that!!
