FAKE A HOLIDAY GLOW

Fake a holiday glow

I almost forgot what summer feels like now. I was lucky enough to spend 10 glorious days on the coast of Spain and then top it all up during a beautiful sunny wedding away in Poland. I like having a little colour to me, so I decided to share with you my ways of keeping summer alive: by faking it of course!

Tan-Luxe Illuminating Self Tan Drops in Light/Medium

For understated glow, choose self-tan drops like these from Tan-Luxe. Few drops of sunshine into your favourite moisturiser will guarantee the glow you need and deserve. I've spoken about them over and over but hey, they are that good! Little pricey, sure but you won't streak and most importantly your tan will look ultra natural. I use it on my face, neck and décolletage to give myself that summer feeling!

Makeup Geek Break-Up, Makeup Geek Infidelity, Inglot HD Sculpting Powder  in 504

For more summer - bronze it up! I love to contour and bronze all year round and my faves from Makeup Geek and Inglot have been looking for a forever home for quite some time. Recently I got this gorgeous mini palette from my gorgeous friend Dominika and I couldn't be happier. Inglot System Flexi Eco Palette hosts my three bronzers and it super travels friendly. The shades I use are the Makeup Geek Contour Powder Pan in Break-Up & Infidelity (currently on offer on Beauty Bay) and Inglot HD Sculpting Powder in 504. I go all over the sides of my face with the mixture of two shades from Makeup Geek and finish up contouring with almost purple bronzer from Inglot.

Violet Voss Holy Grail swatched

Super easy on trend look without spending a penny on many new releases? Go back to your favourite palettes! I have many that I barely touch so it was about damn time to change that. Violet Voss Holy Grail Eyeshadow Palette hosts the most beautiful selection of warm toned eyeshadows with mattes and shimmers leading the way. You can create countless looks with it and I don't know why it took me so long to love it. Absolutely stunning don't you think?

To top it all up - glitter! I'm such lucky girl to have the best friends in the world! Dagmara, Siobhan and Leanne got together to get me the dream of glittery eyeshadows - Stila Magnificent Metal Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow in Kitten Karma. The combination of the rose gold base with silvery glitter is simply stunning! Nothing screams more summer than glitter right? It also stays on all day and night long! What are you waiting for?!

Stila Magnificent Metal Glitter & Glow in Kitten Karma, Max Factor Colour Elixir Honey Lip Laquer in Honey Nude

If there's one makeup item I cannot live without, it's mascara. My own lashes are quite weak and super light so ultra black volumising mascara is a must. Lancome Grandiose Mascara has stolen my heart and not only because of the gorgeous detailed packaging but also the formula itself. I love Lancome mascaras in general but Grandiose gives the most spectacular fluttery lashes. The brush, whilst a total gimmick, also proves to be super effective and easy to use. Definite yes from me!

Last but not list, we must not forget about the lips and I was lucky enough to receive some Max Factor goodies in my Influenster box. The Max Factor Colour Elixir Honey Lip Lacquer in Honey Nude* is pigmented, not sticky and I just love the shade. Pale, almost cool nude makes it a perfect pairing with bronzed up the skin and warm toned eyes. It smells (and tastes) great too, almost like a vanilla cupcake! I'm not normally one for glosses but I have been experimenting with finishes lately and pale nude gloss is probably the easiest lip look you can go for, giving me few extra minutes in bed each morning.

Keeping summer alive

Are you sad summer's nearly over, or do you wait for autumn now all the brands starting to come out with the darker and more vamp like shades? I for one can't wait to go back to my trusty, ultra dark lips, but I will also miss summer dearly.

  3. I love the Lancôme Grandiôse mascara as well, I also find the brush really effective and practical, despite the fact that it looks a little bit gimmicky indeed! I really want to try these Stila Liquid Eyeshadows, the lasting power sounds very promising (eyeshadows never last very long on me)!
