VALENTINES DAY SINGLES EDIT: CINEMA GIRL DATE, PAMPER EVENING & ICONIC BEAUTY.

Single and not ready to mingle on Valentines Day? I hear you! I'll be spending the day with one of my girlfriends, we're off to the cinema to watch 50 Shades Darker and do some 'couple watching'. Couple watching is a term I invented during my trip to the cinema when 50 Shades of Grey originally premiered. Seeing all these couples, especially watching guys reactions, made me really want to see that again:) It's just a movie you probably better see with your friends than a date, I mean pretty awks right? To each their own, of course and I'm not judging! In the evening, I plan to just pamper the hell out of Valentines Day. Why? Because that's what I love the most, relaxing evening at home and a great pamper session.

Cleansing.

I start any pamper session with a great cleanse and I'm going all out here. I recently turned back to the good, old Coconut Oil to remove my makeup first. It's been a while and I missed it. I remove the rest of makeup with a hot cloth (can you see that heart cloth - isn't it the cutest?) and start the second part of my cleansing with Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel. I'll have a full review on it soon, but so far I really like it. It's a gel that turns oil on contact with skin and it's one of the most radiance inducing cleansers I've tried. It's that bit of luxury all of us need from time to time. I managed to score two of these deluxe sample sizes in Space NK sale (see my haul post here) and I'm super glad I did, as it's a really great discovery.

Bath time.

I take my baths seriously. It's always the whole ritual. I'll be lighting up the candle, loving the Yankee Candle in Soft Blanket right now, it's light mix of fresh cotton and vanilla (I'm so bad at describing scents LOL) and I'm obsessed with it. I'll also pour myself a glass of wine, just because and fill the bathtub with bubbles and Lush Lover Lamp Bath Bomb. It's a seriously lovely scent combining sweetness of vanilla and citrus scents of Orange Oil with Cocoa Butter hearts. It's not only gorgeous to look at but also smells incredible and right up my street :)

Mask.

That moment of peace whilst you're in the bathtub is everything but I can't imagine taking a long, relaxing bath without a face mask. I'll be using this one by Masque Bar Brightening for it's radiance inducing properties. I love a good brightening mask and this promises me a more youthful glowing complexion. I'm not overly impressed with the ingredient list of these, so I'll just have to see, as it comes recommended by many. I'm really looking forward to seeing what's it all about!

Body care.

I rarely use body lotions but Resibo Nourishing Body Lotion, which I got as one of my Secret Santa gifts, is super light in texture, have a really great ingredient list and smells incredible. Very like and sweet scents all over my body is all I'm about and it actually sinks in pretty quickly too. I really enjoyed using it recently, despite my forever hate for anything balmy and not in spray form LOL.

Winter has been harsh on my hands especially and I've been using This Works Sleep Balm which not only helps with sleep but also can be sed as a ointment. I use it on hands and nail cuticles and it's been working very well at finishing dry bits.

Skincare.

Keeping the skincare to minimum but using only the best, I'll be using chemical exfoliators overnight. I mix 8 drops of Alpha H Liquid Gold & Bravura 10% Lactic Acid* each in the glass bowl and apply directly to the face, neck and decollate. The mixture tingles slightly at first. Left overnight it gives me the most incredulous glow the next morning and I love using it together.

For my under eyes, I've recently fell in love with Caudalie Premier Cru Eye Cream and I won't be straying anytime soon. I love the formula and it really works for my dry under eye skin. It brightens and also moisturises deeply. Great at night and I haven't really fully tested it for mornings, so I'll leave my full review for some other time.

Lip care.

I always scrub my lips and VD won't be any different, I'll be using myself trusty Lush sugar scrub and following up with Clarins Instant Light Oil. I mentioned it many times and it's my 3rd bottle already. It's super moisturising, the scent is great and it gives my lips the gorgeous gloss to them. Perfect finish to the whole hydrating and brightening theme we have going on. It's not the cheapest but I love it.

Scents.

I always use a tiny bit of perfume after the bath and I love this by Shay & Blue scent. It's purse friendly too :) I'm not great at describing perfume notes but this is a very lovely musky and flowery at the same time. Perfect for that evening at home.

I also spritz my pillows with This Works Deep Sleep Pillow, which has become a firm favourite. The scent is very soothing and I use it every night. It's great just to sit down and relax surrounded by soothing tones of lavender.

Book.

I can't envision a more perfect evening than just chilling on my sofa against soft pillows, under the blanket and with a great book on my lap. Lately the coffee table edition of Sali Hughes Pretty Iconic has been with me a lot. I love how you can just start whenever and only read about something that catches your eye. There are no lengthy chapters, just a lot of iconic beauty products and Sali's view on them. It's like a perfect blog in a book edition. I love beauty and reading about it is just so relaxing.

The end.

aka falling asleep peacefully to the sound of a cat purring somewhere close to my head, which usually ends with me fighting over the pillow with a cat. So very not Breakfast at Tiffany's :)

How will you be spending the Valentines Day? Have a hot date with someone, with yourself or maybe a friend date? Let me know what you think of VDay and maybe share a favourite memory of one? I'd love to hear what you'll be doing tomorrow and I hope you'll find something here to inspire you, even if you spend your evening as I plan to, pampering and relaxing with a fur ball on your lap.

Thank You For Reading,
Love
