BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND: EVENING EMERALD GLAMOUR FEAT. NYX, INGLOT & CHANEL

I posted this look on Snapchat and I got such great response, I decided to show you exactly how easy it was to put together this glam emerald eye, using only a black eyeshadow crayon, black eyeshadow and one pigment. That's right - 3 product full glamour look coming your way! If you'd like to know how I created this super easy, yet bank holiday party appropriate look, please continue to read :)

BASE:

Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream SPF 42 (just in case you're exposed to any sun this weekend, which according to the Weather app isn't very likely, but I prefer to remain an optimist)
Bourjois Radiance Reveal Concealer in 01 - for under-eyes
L'Oreal Sculpt Contouring Palette in Light/Medium - for contour
Estee Lauder Signature Silky Powder Blush in 21 Peach Nuance
W7 Hollywood Bronze & Glow- to bronze and lightly highlight
Lush Emotional Brilliance Transparent Powder - to set

EYES & LIPS

I started off by prepping the lid with MAC Paint Pot in Painterly and set it all with Lush Emotional Brilliance Powder. I applied NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Black Bean to the whole lid and the crease, except for inner corners. I blended out the edges lightly with a synthetic Zoeva Concealer Brush, creating a dome shape. On a synthetic blending brush I picked up some black eyeshadow (Blackout from Urban Decay Naked 2 palette) and blended it in the outer corners, lower lid and in the crease, setting the cream eyeshadows, as well as making it look more three-dimentional. On the mid lid, I applied Inglot Pigment in 117, which is a beautiful 3D emerald shimmer with different glitter particles to it. Using a flat synthetic brush I packed up the colour until I was happy with it. I went for intense and somehow opaque shimmer, if that makes any sense? NYX Crayons are an amazing base for pigments, bringing out their true colour and pigmentation. I find they applied and stayed on better on top of already set primer. I finished up the eyes with few coats of my Max Factor Velvet Volume Mascara & Magnifibers in between the coats. You can dress up these eyes by wearing falsies but I was having a lazy, no falsies day:) I filled in my brows using Soap & Glory Archery in Blonde and set the hair with a coat of ModelCo More Brows in Light/Medium. Coat of Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet Lipstick in La Raffinée on the lips completed this glamour emerald eye look.

I hope you enjoy the finished look as much as I enjoyed creating & wearing it :) The emerald pigment will bring sparkles to any eye colour but will suit brown and dark eyes amazingly. The added black makes this a wearable look for blue and green eyes as well, making them pop.

It's a very versatile shade & I hope you will try to recreate this super simple look. If you do, don't forget to tag me in your photos on Instagram or use my hashtag #idorottka. You can also snap me you looks, just follow i.dorottka on Snapchat. Don't worry about the products I used, any black cream shade and black powder shade will do & if emerald isn't your colour, just substitute it with something else. Possibilities are endless :)

I hope to see you after Bank Holiday with my April Favourites, so don't miss out & subscribe now :)

Thank you for reading,
Love

WHAT'S NEW IN MY MAKEUP GEEK STASH & HOW I STORE IT ALL FEAT. INGLOT FREEDOM FLEXI

Let me just get it out there: I Love Makeup Geek ! Since getting my first "few" shadows my collection has grown significantly and recently I updated it again :) I'd like to show you all the new shades that landed in my collection and see how I store them in my Inglot Flexi palette (courtesy of my lovely friend Dominika who purchased it for me back home where it's practically half price). The time has come and we'll have a little chat about new additions to my collection :)

Firstly, I did not plan on purchasing quite that many shades & the only reason I even looked at Beauty Bay was Makeup Geek new Spring/Summer '16 releases. There were few that caught my eye and few old shades came back in to stock so I couldn't say no to that now, could I? ;) Marlena, the brain behind Makeup Geek has announced all shades on her Youtube channel and I re-watched it few times to ensure I do my research before ordering all the shades. Thankfully only few really caught my eye: Anarchy, Tuscan Sun, Fashion Addict & Venom. All of these are just beautiful and I don't have any that match these in my MUG collection. I also ordered few cult shades that only just came back in stock and got I'm Peachless, Cosmopolitan, Cherry Cola Masquerade, Jester & Flame Thrower (I know, I know - I couldn't stop myself). I don't regret buying a single shade from MUG so far and I know, I'm already loving these, so it was all worth it :)

Inglot Freedom System Flexi Palette (RPR £16.00 - buy here

We all know and love Z-Palette, but I really wanted to try Inglot Flexi as I loved the way it opens and closes with the lid being held by 4 corner magnets. It's roughly the size of large Z- Palette and can hold up to 30 single shadows. What I really love about the empty palettes is my freedom to compose the palette of my dreams, not having to buy made up palettes where I may use half of the shadows but not the rest. You can also mix and match with your setting powders, contour powders, blushes, highlighters. Many professional brands like Inglot, Makeup Geek, Anastasia Beverly Hills, MAC & Make Up For Ever all have most of the products in their pro range available as per pan, so you can pick and choose your favourites :)
Do I truly love Inglot Flexi? I do and I don't, If I have to be honest... There are few cons to owning the palette like this, for example when removing the pans, you can so easily stab the shadow with your nail. Or even opening of Flexi where the 4 magnets may just lift some of your shades from the palette and you drop them? I also don't feel too safe travelling with this palette, the magnets aren't so strong, and I'd worry constantly that it's open somewhere in my luggage. I must say I prefer Z- Palette to Inglot Flexi as I trust it more ;)
Despite all that I still think it's well made, with heavy matte plastic and very presentable :) The price is similar to Z-Palette and yes, the material out of which Z-Palette is made may not be plastic, but overall I just prefer it.

MAKEUP GEEK EYESHADOW PANS
(matte/shimmer/duochrome) RPR£4.95 & (foiled) RPR £7.95

I'm Peachless - light beige with pink/peachy reflects, duochrome finish
Cosmopolitan - peach with golden shimmer running through
Anarchy (new) - light cranberry with rose gold shimmer running through
Venom (new) - dark green, shimmer finish
Tuscan Sun (new) - medium peach, matte finish
Fashion Addict (new) - light pinky purple, matte finish
Cherry Cola - dark brown with purple tones, matte finish (similar to Bitten, less purple in the undertone)
Masquarade - purple with lilac tones, foiled finish
Flame Thrower - true copper, foiled finish
Jester - medium green, foiled finish

Top row from left: Jester, Masquerade, Fashion Addict, Flame Thrower, Anarchy
Bottom row from left: Venom, Cherry Cola, Tuscan Sun, Cosmopolitan, I'm Peachless
FIRST IMPRESSIONS OVERVIEW:

All the shades have an amazing pigmentation, I mean there isn't a shade which isn't buttery and pigmented as hell. However new shades are quite something else. Is it a new formula Marlena has kept under wraps? I don't know what it is but they're even better pigmented and buttery than your usual Makeup Geek goodness. And I thought I don't need all 18 shades from the collection! Wrong lol. I may pick up a few more in a due course, but for now I'm settled with my collection. It's any warm tone maniac dream line - I practically have it all. I may need to update my collection with more neutrals and cool tones, to have a variation there, but how can I, if Marlena keeps bringing out all these? First impressions are super positive but I will continue to review and test all the shades in different conditions so I will report back, I'm sure :)

Love

Lipstick hoarder diaries - Stila All Day Liquid Lipsticks in Baci & Aria review with lip swatches

At the beginning of the year I have tasked myself with finding the best liquid lipstick formula out there and today's gems come pretty close. I have tested them both for over a month now & I finally sat down to write a little about these two shades for you. Stila All day Liquid Lipsticks are £15.00-£16.00 each and available stationary in Boots & Marks & Spencer (also online) and online only on various sites like Beauty Bay, Feel Unique or Look Fantastic.

Packaging varies as I ordered two shades and both came with slightly different packaging. I believe ones with black tops (and black writing) are the older ones to the ones with polished matte gold tops (also writing in gold). I'm not entirely sure if, when introducing different packaging product formula has changed, but I am inclined to think so, as the shade in the newer version works so much better for me & it's a lot more long lasting. I'm talking about Baci here. Problem I have is that Baci is a light, mauve nude where as Aria is a deep dark fuchsia with purple tones. The difference in shades means it's really difficult to decipher, if Baci lasts longer or the shade is lighter therefore when it disappears slightly, you can't really see it so badly as with Aria...

Formula is light and only little creamy and goes well on the lips (no dragging, it's practically weightless). Both shades have great pigmentation and only a coat or two is needed to achieve truly opaque finish. It dries fully within 30 seconds to a minute. When dry it sits comfortably on the lips without drying them too much. With no food on a busy day Baci lasted on me 8 hours and Aria 6 to 6.5 hours. With food (salad with yogurt sauce) Aria disappeared in the middle of the lips, leaving just a contour behind. With a deep shade this is not a pretty look, so I had to re-apply. You can in fact re-apply without too much hassle and even rub your lips together to bring the colour from the contour to the middle of the lips. It looses on matte finish and pigmentation when you do so. I have eaten with Baci and saw colour rubbing off slightly but evenly, so huge difference there. However I must state again, this is a nude shade so even if it rubbed off more in the middle it was not so visible.
Formula is enriched with vitamin E and avocado oil, so it hydrates (slightly!) and softens lips whilst wearing it. I must admit it feels weightless and doesn't look completely dried out after few hours of wear. For those of you preferring a healthier formulas, Stila All Day Liquid Lipsticks are formulated without the use of Parabens, Sulphates, Synthetic Dyes, Petrochemicals, Phthalates, GMOs and Triclosan.

Baci is a beautiful light mauve nude. It's cool toned and looks a little greyish but I absolutely adore this shade. Wear it alone or with lipliner to get your lips to stand out even more. Wearing it with pink lipliner will definitely take away from the ashy finish, but I love wearing it with cool toned brown lipliner like my recent favourite (if you follow me on Snapchat you know it's been my everyday staple) MAC Stone. I prefer wearing a lipliner, not only for slight ombre effect that's so in right now (looking at you Kylie Jenner) but mainly because it is such an ashy shade and pairing it with my paler than pale face with pink undertones can slightly wash you out making your lips disappear. Enter lip liner and you can rock it :) Applicator is great and precise, it truly helps with application when lip liner is used, but alone works just as well due to great shape of the tip.

Aria - ah Aria. Ok so the little story behind me buying this shade is simple. If you watch Pretty Little Liars (and I'm obsessed) you know of Aria and Ezra and all the forbidden love story. As a huge Ezria fan I had to get the Aria shade, it was just that simple ;) Shade itself is a beautiful deep fuchsia, slightly on the dark side and definitely cool toned. It will give your smile that wow factor making your pearly whites truly stand out. I recommend using a lip brush to line your lips first as the applicator takes on a lot of product and you can easily mess up the outer corners. Or use a corresponding lip liner, there's plenty to choose from at MAC. I recommend taking the lipstick with you and matching it up (or at least swatching it on your forearm). This shade will look pretty and different on different skin tones but I feel that it will suit all, from palest to darkest. I love this shade on me :) It will rub off the centre of the lips if you eat so re-applying is a must throughout the day, unless you're a machine and don't eat all day (which I don't recommend obviously!). I think it's because it's a dark shade. Light snacking is fine and doesn't disrupts the colour, however anything that has some oily/creamy residue will make it disappear.

Overiew:

Stila All Day Liquid Lipstick comes pretty close to ideal, with the pigmentation and beautiful shade spectrum there's something there for everyone. Lots of my friends also use them and love the effect. It's not terribly drying and looks ultra matte on the lip so if you are a matte lip lover, I highly recommend giving the range a go :) Packaging matches all the liquid lipstick packaging being a lip gloss like with transparent plastic, so you know exactly what's in it. It's in a medium price range, roughly the same as MAC lipsticks so not everyone's cup of tea, but if you are on a lookout for a good quality liquid lip colour that's widely available in UK, Stila has got you covered :)

Love

COLOUR ME SOFTLY - SLEEK DEL MAR VOL 1 & VOL 2 REVIEW + PASTELOVE DAYTIME LOOK

Couple of sunny days gave me an inspiration to do something different and fun with my daytime makeup. I love pastels & love a bit of colour in my looks so I decided to share this love with you today. I absolutely adore my Sleek Del Mar palettes, they are colourful and fun, so if you like a bit of of that in your makeup, grab a coffee, sit comfortably and let's dig in shall we?

SLEEK DEL MAR VOL 1 - £7.99 (currently unavailable on Boots/Superdrug sites)

It's really hard to choose a favourite of the two, but I find myself reaching for Del Mar vol 1 more in the look I created for you. Pigmentation is ok in most shades - I especially love how well pigmented the white is. You will find a spectrum of pastels in here, from greens, through warmer peach and blues, purples. It's an all rounder in case you're looking for quality drugstore palette. It's often described as a drugstore version of UD Electric, but I just can't see it, shades are not deep or pigmented enough. If applied on white base they gain on pigmentation, yet still showing as lovely pastels.

Lounge Lovers - white gold with a lot of shimmer running through
Poolside - deep, matte teal
Opening Party - navy blue with just a tad of satin finish and a bit of pink shimmer
On The Rocks - reddish coral with a shimmer finish
Sunset Strip - matte peach with orange undertones
Ambience - muted matte purple
Salamanca - matte light to medium cocoa brown, great transition shade
Feel Euphoric - pinkish coral with a bit of shimmer

Chilled Out - matte white
Blue Marlin - matte peacock blue
Balearic Beat - matte kiwi green
Paradise - matte lilac
SLEEK DEL MAR VOL 2 - £7.99 (available in Boots - currently out of stock)
The lighter, romantic summer version of the two. There are so many lovely pastels in here, more cool toned with the exception of matte bright yellow. Blue hues are running the show in this one, with more satin/shimmers than Vol 1. I especially love the yellow as it compliments Vol 1 well. Again pigmentation is ok, better with some shades and lacking in others, it can be enhanced by the use of white base (NYX Milk is the weapon of choice for me).

Loco – shimmery soft peach
San Antonio – matte bright peach
Pearl – shimmery champagne
Ushuaia – matte pinky nude

Ibiza Rocks – matte yellow
Zoola – shimmery gold
Puro – matte lavender pink
Bora Bora – matte turquoise

Pura Vida – matte sage green
Spotlight – matte slate grey
Ocean Beach- matte deep blue-green
Siesta – matte medium taupe brown
#Pastelove

When it comes to spring/summer looks I think the use of pastel colours is a must. Mattes are definitely the one to go for in my opinion as they look lovely on a sunny day. I started this makeup with theme in mind, I was inspired by watching a sunset in my garden so wanted to use the hues that mostly showed the colour spectrum: peach, reddish orange, purple lilac, yellow of the single flowers in the grass and green. It's all about blending with this look but it's super simple to recreate so if you do so, don't forget to use my hashtag #idorottka on Instagram so I can see your looks :)

I started by prepping my base. I used SPF as it was a sunny day and I wanted to work from the garden. I used Eucerin SPF50 as I'm super pale and would like to avoid premature wrinkles and age spots :) For my foundation I opted in for Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream, which not only gives medium to high coverage whilst being super light and with SPF43++. It's a great and long-lasting option for sunny days. I use mine in shade 13, which is super light with ashy tones. For concealer I used my current favourite Bourjois Radiance Reveal (review here). I wasn't a fan when I reviewed it. I just could not get on with the application and coverage but what I love about it now is how moisturising it is for my undereyes and super light in texture. It compliments any lighter formula foundations well. I set the concealer with E.L.F Undereye Setting Powder. I didn't set the face as I don't really need to with Missha BB Cream. I then let my face sit whilst I played with eye makeup.
For my eyes I prepped it with NYX Milk and blended it with my fingers. I didn't set it with powder as I wanted to bring out the pigmentation in the shades I'll use. I started with mid eye and applied Balearic Beat absolutely stunning green. I blended out with my finger only slightly. I then applied yellow Ibiza Rocks to the inner corners blending it in with the green. I used flat syntethic brush both sides having a tad of green and yellow and applied it in between the shades to create a gradient blending effect. I cleaned up the brush and applied the lovely purple lilac to the outer corners. Again with two sides of flat brush I blended it in to the green. For my crease (or in my eyes case - just above it) I applied the most gorgeous semi matte peach Sunset Strip, I adore this shade so I played with blending a bit and blended it up quite high. I cleaned up the brow and the top of my peach with matte white Chilled Out
For the bottom lash line I used Sunset Strip On The Rocks to close up the makeup in a sense of it working with the lid and the crease. For my inner corners highlight I used Chilled Out again as I wanted this look to be mainly all matte, plus I love me a good matte highlight :) My eyes don't look to great with a liner flick so I opted in for a line alongside the upper lash line, not too thin & not too thick just to bring out the colours and making it less washed out. I used Maybelline Gel Liner mixed in with Inglot Duraline for the ease of application. I played around with lashes too, firstly by applying Manna Kadara Lash Primer, then there coats of Max Factor Velvet Volume mascaraMagnifibers in between the coats. I really like the full effect I achieved.

To finish up my face, I dusted off any fallout which was minimal with these shadows. I applied Vita Liberate Mineral Bronzer to the top of my cheekbones and dusting it on the sides of my forehead to add warmth to my pale complexion. I used a bronzer from Zoeva Rose Golden Blush palette to lightly contour my cheekbones, jawline, forehead and the nose. I skipped blusher as I have a lot going on on my eyes and lips. I used theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer on top of my cheekbones, tip of my nose, cupid bow and just above the brow arch to highlight these areas. I finished up the look using super bright pink lipstick from MDS Flow in Panther It has matte to satin finish on the lips and it supposed to be releasing more pigment, making it brighter every time you rub your lips together. I'm not sure I see it, but the shade is just beautiful, despite the fact I rarely wear Barbie pink, this one definitely stole my heart and complimented the look well.

I hope you enjoy the finished look. I shared it on Snapchat (follow me: i.dorottka) few days ago and got such lovely response from you - thank you so much !!! With the weekend fast approaching, what better time than to play around with some colours so I hope you take some inspiration from the look I've shown you today :)

Thank you for reading,
Love

GOING ORGANIC FEAT. NAOBAY - MY GO TO TONER & FACE SCRUB

Going organic when it comes to beauty is not as easy process as one would think. You'd say, organic is so in now, what is she on about. You are right of course, however I find that a lot of organic skincare just does not work with my super sensitive skin. Enter Naobay. I got introduced to a brand via a Glossybox, which is where both products have come from and I must say, I'm a convert. Today, I'd like to talk to you about Calming Face Toner and Moisturising Peeling which have been a daily staple in my morning and evening routine for two months now.

I really love what the company stands for and their ingredients are truly one of the best I've seen. Furthermore there are ingredients that you will never find in any NAOBAY product because we also avoid any ingredient that research show may have a suspected human health risk such as:

PetrochemicalsArtificial preservatives
Artificial colorants/synthetic dyes
Parabens
Silicones
Mineral oils
Genetic modified ingredients
Sodium Laureth Sulphates (SLES)
Formaldehyde
Dioxins
Ethoxylated material
Paraffin / petrolatum
Isothiazolinones
PEG
BHT

Let's start with packaging, shall we? Most natural brands opts in for pretty boring and unattractive packaging. I can't be the one to think that? I love the design of Naobay products, as it clearly relates to the organic and natural products, as well as being pleasing on the eye. I love the combination of white and black writing and the wooden caps are just too lovely. This is where my praise ends, as I have a small complaint on both. Firstly the toner, as you would see from pictures, mine is far from perfect. When I first opened the cap, I was surprised to see the plastic 'block' which normally features a dosing bit is firmly in the cap, therefore I had to use (and waste!) the product straight from the bottle. It just distributes a lot more toner on to the pad than desired, meaning you're wasting a lot of product this way. When it comes to the peeling, I have a similar issue. There's nothing wrong with the packaging per se, however when it stands upright and you open it, there's so much product practically 'falling out'. I must always remember to be extra careful with it.

Despite my less than pleasant experience with the packaging, however aesthetically pleasant, I must admit I love both the products. The smell of both formulas is quite strong but very pleasant, almost citrus like. I worried on the beginning this could be an issue for my sensitive skin, but glad to report this is not the case. I haven't experienced any negative reaction when using these and I use toner daly and peeling 3-4 times a week.

Naobay Calming Face Toner (currently on offer on Beauty Bay for £9.00, click here) has been formulated using mostly (93.13%) natural ingredients. It cleanses, tones, soothes and purifies the skin in one go. I find that my skin feels very refreshed and it also helps to calm the redness caused by any cleansing irritation. For you ingredients junkies here's a list and if I say so myself it's a pretty good one:

Aqua, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice*, Propanediol, Glycerin, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Chamomilla Recutita Flower Extract*, Centella Asiatica Extract*, Citric Acid.  * Ingredients from organic farming.

Naobay Moisturising Peeling (currently on 3 for 2 offer on Look Fantastic for £15.00) has been formulated using 98.82% of natural ingredients. Infused with natural peeling particles from Acai tree, its creamy formula soothes, moisturises and replenishes the complexion. It's quite "harsh" of a peel but I use slow and delicate motion and it hasn't irritated my skin in the slightest. In fact skin is super soft to touch after use. I like using it at evening mainly, post double cleanse. Check out the ingredients list now:

  • Aqua, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice*, Olea Europaea Fruit Oil*, Butyrospermum Parkii Butter*, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Methylglucose Sesquistearate, Propanediol, Glyceryl Stearate, Prunus Amygdalus Dolcis Oil*, Euterpe Oleracea Pulp Powder*, Glycerin, Benzyl Alcohol, Dehydroacetic Acid, Parfum, Centella Asiatica Extract*, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Citral, D-Limonene, Geraniol, Linalool. * Ingredients from organic farming.

Despite little issues with the product waste due to the packaging, I fell in love with Naobay range and want to try more. Not only do they look amazing on my bathroom cabinet, but also actually work for my silly oversensitive skin. The citrus scent is just lovely but it doesn't linger for too long and it's most definitely ok to use for those of you with dry and sensitive skin. I have a lot left of my Face Peeling, so this should last me for a good year and already ordered a new toner on a promo on Beuaty Bay as I wasted a lot of product with the dosing cap issue. I hope this won't be the case for my next bottle, but if it will I will complain to the brand this time. I love the product and I hope it was just a single packaging issue :)
    Thank you for reading,
    Love

UNBOX WITH ME - GLOSSYBOX APRIL 2016 FIRST IMPRESSIONS + MINI REVIEWS

Since getting myself on Snapchat (follow i.dorottka) I found to be doing a lot of unboxing over there so I now decided to discontinue the series Unbox with me on the blog. I leave it up to you, if you still wish for me to do it, I may restart the series in the next few months but I am currently sampled out. I decided to cancel my subscriptions so no more Birchbox and Glossybox for now.

This month marks an extra special post as it's the last one in the series and I'm bringing you the April's Glossybox. Let's dig in shall we?

Next Matte Lipstick in Simply Peach full size £8.00

Starting off with my favourite item in the box. You probably already know my obsessions with lipsticks, especially matte finish and this one doesn't disappoint. Formula is super creamy and wears comfortably for up to 6 hours, depending on how heavy you go with food and drinks. It survived 4 hours with light lunch and tons of water on me. Colour is lovely, I would recommend wearing it with taupe to brown lip liner as it makes this pale peach truly pop. I've been wearing it with MAC Stone religiously and love the effect it gives. After couple of hours of wear it may sit weird on the mid lip creating a line, which in my eyes just doesn't look too good. However for the price range it's a great matte. Packaging is also aesthetically pleasing, with heavy transparent plastic, similar to MAC Charlotte Olympia (review here).

Studio 10 Brow Lift Perfecting Liner full size £22.00

Another fave from the box is the newly launched in UK (available now on Cult Beauty) brand Studio 10. I really like the brands philosophy as it supports women with cancer. This is what company has to say about their action:

"Studio 10 are showing their support for cancer charity Look Good Feel Better with their #raise1brow campaign – an opportunity to raise awareness (and some much-needed funding) for this phenomenal organisation as they work hard to support, advise and help boost the morale of women and teenagers battling cancer and the side-effects of treatment. For every Brow Lift Perfecting Liner sold, Studio 10 will donate one (worth £22) to the charity, in a bid to help women affected by cancer feel confident, and regain control over their appearance during a daunting period of change and uncertainty.
Purchasing a pencil also presents a perfect opportunity to raise awareness – simply post a selfie video, in which you try (and hopefully succeed!) to raise one eyebrow, together with the hashtag #raise1brow – then tag three friends to nominate them."

I'm obsessed with brow products and have been straying from my favourite Freedom Brow Pomade and going for liners instead. This liner is promoted as an universal shade. I disagree slightly. Shade is perfect for blondes, however brunettes will struggle with it. I myself love the ashy undertone and it certainly is an interesting and long lasting option. It's double ended with the other end acting as a brow lift. Personally it is way too yellowy for me, however I will continue to test it and I plan to do my favourite brow product compilation, so if I like it, I will be talking to you in more depth there.

H&O Skindulgence No1 Cleanse and Hydrate Balm sample 10ml (full size RPR £43.50)

Cleansing balms are all the hype and I must be the only blogger to never tried one ! I stick to my well loved double cleanse of cold pressed virgin coconut oil and micellar water. I am looking forward to trying this out as it's a promising product. I only wish we were to get a little bigger sample. I think I'm just over testing samples as they never truly reflect on the quality of the product unless you test it for a good 2-4 weeks in my opinion. I haven't tried it yet but once I do I promise to update you on it. Ingredients list is impressive and it will indulge even the post picky of organic beauty lovers (check out the whole list here). I'm excited to give it a good spin to see what's the hype all about :)

The Body Shop Oils of Life Intensely Revitalising Facial Oil sample 7ml (full size RPR £28.00, also available in set with cream for £45.00 - saving you £11.00)

I love this oil. Honestly it's the best facial oil I have used to date. It makes my skin so soft, it's unreal. I used it for 3 days straight (at night) and woke up with hydrated and tightened skin. I must try using it in the morning as well to see if it won't melt my makeup afterwards but for evening with an addition of sleeping cream from the same series it works wonders. Here's what bugs me. These samples (both cream and oil) are available to pick up for free from any Body Shop counter. I just find it infuriating this counts as one product in Glossybox if you can get it for free from Body Shop anyway !!! If you're interested CLICK HERE to get your hands on the vouchers :)

Leighton Denny Miracle Mist Speed Drying Spray full size £11.00

I rarely use nail polishes these days, I have gel nails or go for shellac so it's not something I will use anytime soon. So it's definitely the least favourite of products in this box. It's still a full size and for those of you obsessed with nail polish it will work great. Mist is very fine and I gave it to my mom to see how much it speeds up the drying process. It did so by a whooping 75% which is massive. Definitely one to go for if you're rushing out and worry about destroying that perfect mani.

Overview:

I must say it's a pretty good box overall. It's not the quality that makes me cancel my subscription. I have been a fan and a subscriber for over 4 years, since the first box and Glossybox launch in UK. I'm just sampled out. I prefer saving my hard earned pennies and spending it on quality full size items instead. I love the items in this box minus the drying spray as I just don't do traditional mani anymore. I would love for the cleansing balm to be full size but I'm glad to be able to try it out as ingredients list is truly amazing and I have been trying to go more natural and organic in my skincare. I also love the philosophy of Studio 10 and the brow pencil shade is perfect for me. I also like the Next lipstick as it works beautifully with my favourite MAC Stone liner for the Kylie Jenner lip look I seem to prefer these days. Body Shop sample is great, however I'm disappointed because you can get it free anyway. It should be a 6th product in my opinion. In overall it's well composed box and I will truly miss getting my Glossybox every month. However it's time for a little break. I may be back sooner than expected so watch this space ladies and gents :)

Thank you for reading,
Love
