iDorottka loves: FEBRUARY 2016 BEAUTY FAVOURITES feat. MY LIPSTICK GAME GOING STRONG

Hello my beauties and welcome to the 29th day of February and my favourites for the month. I had to think long and hard to choose only few but here's my beauty gems I loved all month long <3

I'll start with eyes. My absolute favourite palette of the month was Makeup Revolution Salted Caramel. It's just such a pretty palette, perfect for daytime and evening looks and if you like your warm toned smokeys - this one is for you my lovelies. I reviewed it here if you'd like to know a little more but MUR has rocked my world in February.

To top off my eye makeup it was all about Max Factor Velvet Volume Mascara. I mean this baby has certainly became a staple in my day to day mascara needs and if I wasn't such a punk and had to review more mascaras I would be using this every day. It separates the lashes like no other whilst giving them the volume kick you need !! Superb !!!

My skincare product of the month must be my new discovery from Talika. I discovered Photo Hydra Day in one of my beauty boxes and let me tell you - it is the best daytime cream I have eve used, so far ;) It gives my drier than dry skin enough moisture whilst sinking in the skin in seconds. Perfect for those mornings you are just way too late to wait for your cream to sink in. I use it on top of my Nip+Fab serum and works beautifully, making my skin hydrated all day long. It a little on the pricey side of the scale, but wort every penny in my opinion.

Now it's time to get down to the business. As per title I was obsessed with lipsticks this month. I differentiated between nudes and pinks and reds and I couldn't just choose one favourite. These 5 products I wore all the time !!!

Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in East End Snob is my absolute holy grail of pinky nudes lip liners. It stays on so well, the tip is perfect to create that perfect line or full in the whole lip. It has the most beautiful pink nude hue. AMAZING !! It's also cheap and available at any drugstore so no need to save for this baby - hell to the yeah, go get it tigers. It also provided a perfect guide for any of the shades I will mention in the moment (except for red lol).

Topshop Lip Bullet in Motel is my absolute favourite for my darker nude needs. I have already reviewed it so check it out here, if you want to see more, but man, did it totally changed my life !!!

Ellie Goulding for MAC Lipstick in Only You wasn't my favourite when I first got it, but as it turns out, it is the bloody best if combined with Rimmel's East End Snob. If you're looking for that perfect daytime pinky nude, these two together will change your life !! Honest ;) I reviewed it here if you're interested x

Max Factor Marilyn Ruby Red is the most beautiful red you will ever come across. It gives you an illusion of fuller lips, whitens your teeth and is my personal favourite of the month. Red lip is my go to, if I'm going for natural eye as it competes the look. I feel fairly naked without it ;) More about it here

By Terry Terribly Velvet Rouge in Gypsy Rose isn't my favourite liquid lipstick formula but it is by far my favourite shade to wear daytime. It magenta but muted, it's purple but not really. Just simply gorgeous. plus I spent so much of my hard earned monies on it, I will wear it forever lol. More about it here.

That's it ladies and gents, my favourites of the month February. It was a shorter month but as we're getting an extra day I'm grateful for many more products that came to my life in the end of this month. I haven't used them for too long, so it felt like cheating to include them in favourites but I already have few contendars for March :) Tell me, what were you loving in February? Did you find any beauty gem you think I just have to try this month? Sound off in the comments below and I will see you soon with a new post. Love you all x

HOODED EYE DAYTIME CUT CREASE FEAT. ZOEVA, MAKEUP GEEK, URBAN DECAY, MAC & MORE

Spring is definitely on my mind. With more sunny days comes more energy to play & today I'm coming to you with a more defined daytime makeup. Cut Crease is a beautiful way to make your eyes look more defined and almost of an almond shape. It's not an easy task to do on a hooded eye but it gives you an illusion of a bigger lid so you can finally play with eyeliner more :) If you'd like to know how I created this look, please continue to read :)

BASE:

I wanted some definition on the eyes so I needed my base to be flawless. I used Bourjois City Radiance in Ivory and buffed it in using a flat top brush. For my under eyes, I used my trusty Collection Lasting Perfection in 01. I set the base with MAC Bone Beige from Sculpt & Shape Powder duo

For my contour I used Emphasise again from MAC Sculpt & Shape Powder. It's not my favourite contour shade but I wanted to give some of my forgotten bits a go :) For my cheeks I used Estee Lauder Signature Silky Powder Blush in 21 Peach Nuance. I really love the light effect if gives my cheeks, perfect for spring :) I skipped highlighter, instead applying a little extra of Bone Beige on the high points of my face, creating matte strobing effect.

LIPS:

I used Gwen Stefani for Urban Decay lip liner in Ex-Girlfriend and the accompanying lipstick, also Ex-Girlfriend. It's surprisingly well lasting and both work magically together. Love this nude <3

BROWS:

I used my trusty Freedom Makeup Brow Pomade in Taupe to define my brows slightly.

EYES:

I used MAC Paint Pot in Painterly as a base and dusted Stitch by Stitch  from Zoeva enTaupe palette to set and to help with blending.

I wanted to try cut crease for a bit and having practise forever I finally came up with my version of it, perfect for anyone with hooded eyes. I started by lining just above the crease with Makeup Geek Bitten and created the line where I wanted my cut crease to be, I then added Cocoa Bear to soften it up and at the same time to create more depth. I then took a little of Creme Brûlée to soften the top of cut crease. I applied my favourite Eye of Horus Liquid Define in Babylon Brown and created a defined line going towards my cut crease. I cleaner the 'middle' in between cut crease and liner with Spun Pearl from Zoeva enTaupe and the same shade landed in the inner corner. On top of my newly created lid space I added Makeup Geek In The Spotlight. I finished the look with two coats of a new mascara I'm testing, Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama.

For the bottom lid I used Makeup Geek Peach Smoothie, then added Bitten and Cocoa Bear to add more definition. To combine the mattes with the inner corner I used Handmade from Zoeva

There you have it, a completed look and my first ever public cut crease. There's still so much to improve on but I'm happy with the results so far. Hope you enjoy my first take on spring makeup and I'll see you Monday with a  new post. Stay warm & safe <3

CREAM CONTOURING ON THE BUDGET WITH MAKEUP REVOLUTION ULTRA CREAM CONTOUR

Contouring is one trend me and my round face are super grateful for. I'm not in to Kim K for a daytime but a slight contour is a must and cream conturing is perfect for achieving that perfect look :) Today I'm coming to you with my absolute favourite of the last few months - Makeup Revolution Ultra Cream Contour. I'm now ready give you my honest opinion, so let's get on with it, shall we?

Packaging:

As usual with Ultra palettes, shiny black plastic packaging hides away a large mirror inside. It is prone to become messy but palette itself is sturdy and I like it. I am still hopeful MUR will try and go into hardened carbon packaging which I find is better to store and travel with. I can sacrifice the mirror for the weight :)

What's inside:

Inside you will find 8 creamy shades, 4 of which are concealers/highlighters and 4 bronzers/contour shades. I find that I use 3 shades all the time. Top left and right shades for matte and shimmer highlighting and second bottom shade for contour :) I wish they sold them separately !!!

Swatches:

As you can see all the shades are super pigmented and creamy. They are easy to blend and don't disappear when you do so. I find that all the shades must be set with the powder and if you do so, they will last 6-8 hours. I really love the cool toned contour shade. It's perfect for pale skin girls with cool undertones ;) Also matte highlight shade I mentioned above works great on me, however it doesn't work with all the foundations. It blends nicely into my normal foundations but may look cakey on top of CC creams such as my Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue.

I really enjoy using this palette. I only wish all the contour shades were cool toned, just different colour intensity from lightest to darkest. I can't use warm shades as they look too orange on me. I really enjoy both matte and shimmer highlights and I much prefer using creams to powder as they give very natural effect :). I like it a lot better than Freedom Makeup Pro Cream Strobe Palette(review here

If you're on a look out for a budget friendly contouring palette - look no further. It's only £8.00 and available here and from Superdrug :)

BEAUTY BAY & MAKEUP GEEK HAUL FEATURING EYESHADOWS AND NEW CONTOUR POWDERS

Monday an be a drag but what better way to improve your mood then talking makeup? I have treated myself for Valentines Day with "a little" shopping spree at Beauty Bay. I was inspired my my lovely friend Agnieszka (find Fringiella on Instagram) and spent my hard earned monies on some Makeup Geek :) There were two factors of this surprise purchase, second being a Facebook post from Beauty Bay announcing release of the new contour powders. I knew I had to have them and few eyeshadows I stumbled on along the way :)

*Disclaimer: This is only a haul post, so please forgive me for not swatching them for you but I'm awaiting my Inglot Flexi Palette and don't want to take them out of the packaging just yet. I promise to review them as soon as I can get my hands on a palette to place them in :)*

Contour Powders:

I am a proud owner of a very pale skin with pink undertones so I had to get my hands on two shades from the cool tone collection. Break Up & Infidelity are both cool toned bronzers with superb pigmentation and I honestly can't wait until I'm able to properly test them out. Get them here for £7.95 each. I really love the description for each shade, it's super easy to find one that will suit you best. There are two ways of naming the shades. Warm tones get to be named after love and cool tones after broken hearts. So funny - I love it. Break Up is the lightest shade from the range. It's a beautiful greyish taupe and it will work beautifully on ladies with pale skin tones with cool undertones. Great daytime contour shade. Infidelity is the second shade in the range, it's more neutral in tone and of a lovely muted medium taupe brown. I will be using it in the summer when I'm a little more tanned and for the nights out to chisel my cheeks even more.

Eyeshadows:

I got 4 matte shades as I've heard so much about the formula. The shades I chose are really greatly pigmented and perfect for everyday and evening makeup. I went for cult shades such as Creme Brûlée (great crease shade), Frappe (another crease shade, darker than the first) and Cocoa Bear (perfect to define the eye in the outer corners or all over the lid for warm chocolate smokey). I like my smokey eye to be of a warm tone and I choose Poppy, muted red shade to compliment the browns I chose. I had to try other finishes as well. I went for foiled finish In The Spotlight which is just a gorgeous champagne shade, super pigmented. As for duo chrome the choice was obvious and I went for Mai Tai. I really hope it will be that perfect in between shade, for the mobile lid or to blend out outer corners towards the middle.

I'm super happy with my purchases and I already know I will be buying more. I think me & Makeup Geek will be great friends for the years to come and In The Spotlight is the shade I fell in love with instantly.

LADY GAGA SUPER BOWL RED GLITTER EYE FEAT. MAKEUP REVOLUTION AND EBAY PLUS A GIVEAWAY

Hello my beauties. Happy Friday :) Couple of weeks ago, I stayed up all night to watch Super Bowl and despite being a complete zombie at work the next day, I'm so grateful I managed to stay up & see Lady Gaga's take on Red Glitter Eye. I was amazed at how beautiful it looked and how surprisingly wearable :) I knew from the moment I saw her, I will have to try and recreate this look for you :) I ordered some red glitter from Ebay and voila :) I hope you like my take on Gaga's already a cult look <3 if You like to know how I created this look ---> here it goes :)

As a base I used my Ebay Flash Palette and the beautiful true red colour. I applied it first with my finger just dabbing it on and for definition I used flat syntethic brush. I rarely use this palette but it does deserve a huge shout out as for less than £9.00 you get 12 super pigmented cream shades. I have sensitive eyes and this doesn't affect me so I can vouch for it :)

After creating a defined base, I then cleaned the brush and set it with the red shade from my amazing Eat Sleep Makeup Repeat from Makeup Revolution. Again this is only drugstore and costs only £6.00, but if you're into pro session makeup looks - it's definitely the one to have. Super pigmented colours that last :) I packed a lot of colour on top of my cream base to ensure I set it properly and makeup will last all day :)

Time for glitter. I'm not a huge glitter fan. It's messy and I haven't been smart enough to get a glue with purchase so had to improvise. I mixed my glitter (from Ebay- 99p) with a bit of Ingot's Duraline on the same brush again and again just packed it all over my defined 'cat eye'. I was surprised of how well it worked with Duraline and my job was done in less than 2 minutes :) There was a bit of fall out but I cleaned it up with a makeup remover wipe :)

For the bottom lid I just used a little of neutral tone chocolate matte shade and blended it out. It completed the look and made it more wearable, whilst defining lower lash line nicely.

Look like this deserves big lashes. I started with one coat of Max Factor Velvet Volume and added some Magnifibers on top. I followed with second coat and decided to add some falsies. I'm not a huge falsies fan and wanted just a tad of length so I decided on Tanya Burr's Everyday Flutter Lashes. these are just "half" lashes and it worked great, adding a bit of flirtatious volume and length.

I hope you like the finished look. Surprisingly to myself I love it and I can see myself wearing it on a girls night out :) My eyes feel a little heavy, what's with huge amount cream, powder and glitter on top but it's mainly because I'm so not used to wearing falsies ;)

*Giveaway*

Did you enjoy Gaga's Super Bowl performance? Did you love her look? If you did and try to recreate it, please tag me on Instagram with #iDorottkaGagaSuperBowl and I will choose the best look and you can win a surprise makeup gift. More details on my Instagram <3

LIPSTICK HOARDER DIARIES: BY TERRY TERRYBLY VELVET ROUGE LIQUID LIPSTICK IN GYPSY ROSE

Lately I have given myself a task of finding the best liquid lipstick out there and having browsed on Feel Unique I came across By Terry Terrybly Velvet Rouge Liquid Lipstick in Gypsy Rose. I really loved the colour and wanted to try By Terry for ages so it landed in my basket and arrived 2 days later. When I saw the shade, I fell in love instantly - it's so me :)

By Terry Terrybly Velvet Rouge in Gypsy Rose
Packaging is just gorgeous, with By Terry logo stamped across the silver lid. Applicator is a little different and I was afraid it will be hard to use, but surprise surprise - it's super easy to get a defined look with it :)

When swatched Gyspsy Rose is a lovely muted magenta. Super pigmented, you only need one coat to create an opaque finish. It doesn't fully dry out as any Velvet finishes and I must say it's very similar in formula to Makeup Revolution Velvet Lip Lacquers. As the latter are just a friction of £24.00 I paid for By Terry Lipstick I would stick to the cheaper alternative.

Swatched in natural light, no flash
Nevertheless shade looks beautiful when applied and it feels lovely on the lip for up to 4 hours. If you do eat in the meantime you will need to reapply as it will rub off slightly. It did survive drinking and snacking so not too bad on a lasting power. As it doesn't dry completely it can smudge, which put me off a little, as I expected a little more from the brand and the price tag on the product itself. However formula is so comfortable to wear, I will forgive it the misfortunes of smudging.

Would I purchase again? Probably not. It is not my ideal formula for liquid lipstick. I want better staying power and no smudging. It's very similar to NYX Liquid Suede (reviewed here) and I will continue on the search for my perfect formula :) I'm not disappointed I got it, as after seeing raving reviews I needed to try it for myself. I know now that it is in fact a beautiful opaque shade, that needs only a little product and it distributes nicely. It's easy to apply and looks beautiful on the lip. It doesn't dry out my lips and for that, it gets a huge plus.

Have you tried any of By Terry range? What would you recommend as I would like to perhaps try some of their eyeshadows? Sound off in the comments below, if you like Gypsy Rose as much as I do?

GET THAT GLOW - BEFORE AND AFTER FACE MISTS FEAT. NYX DEWY FINISH SETTING SPRAY & FREEDOM PRIMING WATER

What do I look for a Monday morning when doing my makeup? Hydration and glow come to mind. My skincare routine is now on point but to add a little extra to my makeup shenanigans I opt for face mists. Today I come to you with two of my favourites that won't break the bank.

After my skincare I like to spritz my face with a little of Freedom Priming Water. This is a dupe for Smashbox. I haven't tried Smashbox offerings but I can honestly say, I don't want to, as Freedom Priming Water works great on my dry skin. It gives that extra level of moisture which then turns in to a super glowing base as my foundation looks so much better if applied after :) It gives the glow only seen on refreshed skin and who does need their base to look fresh especially on a Monday morning ;)
It's only £6.00 and you can get it here. Here's what Freedom has to say about it:

Freedom Pro Studio Priming Water is a stunning lightweight primer, providing the perfect base underneath your makeup or on top for extra highlighting. This easily absorbed water, enhanced with multi-vitamins hydrates skin for hours revitalising your complexion and boosting radiance.

I like to give my base a little extra glow on top of my makeup and I recently ordered NYX Dewy Finish Setting Spray (get it now for £7.00 HERE). It was a love from the first spritz as this super fine mist gives you not only dewiness only seen on the red carpet but also takes away any powder look from the face whilst feeling super hydrating as well. It's a win win for my super dry skin. Finish is just beautiful and I only wish it came in bigger bottle as I can see myself repurchasing it all the time. 3 spritz is all I need for a full face but it being only a small bottle hurts me deeply lol. Here's what Boots have to say about NYX product:

Demand Perfection! For that fresh make up look that lasts NYX Makeup Setting Sprays are lightweight and comfortable while working hard to make sure your makeup stays put. Available in a gorgeous Matte Shine-Free Finish or Dewy Fresh Glow.

Have you tried any of the above face mists? What did you think? Or maybe you are on a look out for the perfect dewy skin finish? In my opinion I have found my perfect before and after duo :)

Unbox with me: Love is in the air, is Glossybox Valentines Day 2016 edition a perfect gift?

Hello & welcome to my page :) If you're new here, I'm glad we get a chance to meet and if not, welcome back to my monthly series where I unbox hot beauty boxes. Is this months Glossybox worth the hype it's already getting in the blogosphere? Let's see, shall we?

Every year Glossybox comes out with limited edition box for February. Love is the theme of the month and I for one, I'm all up for it. We can disagree on the importance of Valentines Day, but I love to celebrate and any reason to do so, is the reason good enough :) This year I really love the design, white box with watercolour painted balloons and Love is in the air logo - just gorgeous.

Does what's inside matches the theme of this month's box? In a funny way it does, is it perfect? Certainly not. You will find 5 full size products and I love a good full size box, but I can't fight the feeling, it's somehow very cheap. All products are very drugstore priced and I love Beauty Boxes for the idea of trying out a bit of luxury. Do I think adding a razor to the Valentines box is appropriate? However useful it is and strangely enough VERY useful for that particular day, it does take away the romance a little bit doesn't it?

Strangely enough the theme is the hair, the unwanted (razor and tweezers) and wanted golden locks (conditioner) . I may be a little taken aback by the Wilkinson Sword Intuition Razor (RPR £6.99), but I can't fault its usefulness. I'm not a huge fan of this particular series, I prefer Venus razors and good old coconut oil, but I'm sure this product will finds its use. Razor may not be my ideal VD idea but Browtician Love Skull Tweezers (RPR £7.99) are a little better. I really like the cute design and I already tested them. They are sharp, have a limited edition design and are locked in a plastic box, ensuring the storing damage is minimal. Tweezers may not be romantic but it was time for mine to go and I'm glad to have found a good replacement :)

I like Naobay as a brand, it's just a little worrying this is the 3rd product in the year found in the Glossybox. Nevertheless Naobay Protective Hair Mask Volume Conditioner is a natural & organic haircare and I would be a fool not to appreciate the full size product. I really enjoy using the skincare sent to me previously so I will be happily giving this one a go. It smells great, as the whole range, formula seems nourishing and I will most definitely test it out. It's a shame it doesn't come with a standard wooden accent to the packaging, but it's white with black letters and still look very professional. RPR £10.64.

I think what I love and I'm disappointed with at the same time is makeup. Two full size makeup products got me really excited but having found MUA and Nicka K yet again in the box, just proves we are no longer here to discover new brands and only rehash old ones. I'm not a lipgloss fan so I will be passing on the new MUA Power Pout Glaze Low Voltage Gloss (RPR £3.50) but I like the shade sent to me - Spellbound is a lovely sheer red and will work nicely on any lipgloss enthusiast. I myself am more of a lipstick fan so will be giving it a pass. Secondly Nicka K New York 24 Hr Waterproof Eyeliner in Dark Brown (RPR £3.99) is a lovely warm brown shade. It has a built in sharpener and a smudger on one end, making it a a nice choice, but I don't agree it's a smudge-proof formula. I have tried few Nicka K products and haven't been too impressed with their quality. It's a cheap eyeliner and I think it works for what it is, but if you're looking for kohl that doesn't budge, this isn't one of them.

To sum up, this isn't a bad box and I'm sure it will fit many people just fine. I am just not that into it, I guess. I really like the tweezers and we will be great friends, I know that already, but for the rest? I like the conditioner mask and I'm sure I will give it a good go, because there's always room for a new more natural haircare in my bathroom. I won't lie that I won't be using the razor, as it is an essential item and I'm sure I will like it just fine, but yet again this is a second time we are getting the same razor in the box. That and rest of repeated products made me less excited about Valentines Day edition. I just don't think any of the products really fit the theme as such. I would rather see a volumising mascara or a pretty blush, makeup wise and maybe a great pre-party face mask or a bath pampering products. These would scream Valentines to me.

What do you think about this month's Glossybox? Do you agree with me or maybe you loved the box? Please take in consideration I have been with Glossybox since they launched in UK and I have seen it all as I only ever missed one box so my opinion may be affected by that ;) I just expected more that's all. It's still a great quality box and worth its price. If you'd like to know more about Glossybox and subscribe - check them out here. All monthly boxes are £10.00 plus P&P.

iDorottka ♥ palettes: MAKEUP REVOLUTION FLAWLESS MATTE, THE ONE YOU NEED IN YOUR KIT

Happy hump day ladies & gents <3 Today I'd like to share with you the eyeshadow palette must have. 32 matte shades in one fairly sized palette. One I think any enthusiast or professional MUA should have in their kit. Why? Because it's a crease shade heaven. Let me present you Makeup Revolution Flawless Matte :)

Today's going to be a little different, I will not be reviewing each shade - I'll leave the swatches to talk for themselves (and it scares me to even try to name them all lol). Packaging wise, you will find them locked in a decent size plastic palette. This isn't matte plastic (why oh why !!) but I was surprised at how reasonably 'small' this palette is. Makes it a perfect addition to your kit, be that for fun or professional use. As with any "Ultra" palettes from MUR, inside you'll find large mirror, which is super convenient for travel.

What I really love about it? Mattes. Every self respected enthusiast knows how hard it is to get good crease shades. Yes you will get one or two decent ones in normal eyeshadow palettes but there's never a room to play too much. Here you are getting 32. They are well pigmented and of different tones, which makes it a true crease shade heaven. The formula is mainly semi matte, with two shades more chalky but the rest? Super soft, easy to blend and not disappearing while you at it. I must admit to using it daily. Think daytime makeup, think evening extravaganza - you have it all here. Any shade can be used on it's own or to blend others out. I still can't quite comprehend how is it priced at only £8???
Flawless Matte is also super versatile. There are so many brow shades in there to suit any skin tone. Column 3 shade Fawn is the one I use to fill on my brows.

Let's have a look at the swatches now (swatched in columns top to bottom):

I really can't fault this palette. If there's one palette you need to try - be it Flawless Matte :)  Available here.

FIRST EMPTIES OF 2016 - WHAT HAPPENED IN MY SKINCARE IN THE LAST FEW MONTHS :)

Hello ladies & gents. If it's the first time we meet, welcome to my tri-weekly ramblings and if not, hello again :) I would tell you to subscribe, if you dare to face the madness, but I'll let you make your own decisions. I was inspired by a blogger friend of mine, Allison from Never Say Never Beauty to go through my overflowing empties bag & finally do something about it. Here it is. First in the series, as the bag is seriously too large to put it all in one. Empties or what I've used in the last few months :)

MAKEUP REMOVERS:

I use a lot of makeup removing products as I double cleanse my face with micellar waters and coconut oil or cleansing balms. I have used up the bottle of one of my favourite drugstore cleansers: Garnier Micellar Water. It's super cheap, you can get it on sale for less that £3 and the bottle is huge (400ml). It works great at removing makeup and it's easy on the pocket. Win win. I also used up the pack of Garnier Micellar Water Wipes. I don't use wipes for my face, but as I constantly battle swatching, my hands are always covered in makeup. I have a pack with me in my bag all the time (lunchtime Boots visits lol) and by my dressing table. They aren't the best wipes I've used, they're a little dry for my liking but they did the job and I got few packs to test few months ago so I've never spent a penny. I wouldn't recommend them though, as there are better wipes out there, especially if you use them to remove makeup from your face.

I was finally able to test Bioderma Micellar Water as I received a sample in one of the beauty boxes. I must say I can't really see the difference between it and Garnier product and Garnier is cheaper so I would not consider swapping. However I like the teeny tiny bottle so I'm keeping it for whenever I have to stay somewhere overnight. I can then just have enough micellar water to take me through the weekend :)

Finally the last makeup remover and this time it is a sample of Lancome Bi-Facil double-Action Eye Makeup Remover. I always have a sample or two in my bathroom. It is by far the best duo-phased eye makeup remover out there. Its oily formula removes even the waterproof mascara in seconds. It's truly miraculous. I tent do test a lot of duo-phased removers, trying to find a good enough dupe in drugstore, but so far none has taken the place of Lancome's offerings. If you haven't tried it yet, give it a go :)

TONERS:

There are many people who say that this is a completely useless step but as an owner of super dry and sensitive skin, I find that the cleansing process can be quite harsh on my skin, even if I'm being super delicate with it. Having a good nourishing toner that calms my skin is a given for me so I never skip this step. It's also super refreshing in the morning. Recently I used up Kueshi Revitalizing Face Toner. It contains a soothing blend of calendula, chamomile and aloe vera to soothe and rehydrate skin. I don't sweep it on the pad, instead I pat my face gently, or use a sheet mask soaked in the toner, if I have a bit more time in the morning or evening. I loved the smell of this toner and I wasn't happy when it was gone. I use something new now and I'll be reviewing it soon so watch this space :)

CREAMS & SERUMS:

I used up an amazing Origins Plantscription™ Anti-aging Power Serum (£49.00 for 30ml). I received a luxury 15 ml sample and it lasted me for absolute ages. You only ever need so little as it just glides on the skin. It has a pleasant citrus smell, which I loved and it makes your skin so soft. I used it mainly at night to give it time to work but you can use it twice daily as well. I have quite a few serums to test but once they're gone I will consider repurchasing as it's really an incredible product.

Elemis Pro-Radiance Illuminating Flash Balm Anti-Aging (£35.00 for 50ml) is my fairly recent discovery thanks to being an addition to one of newspapers. Again 15 ml sample was a great way of testing a product and me and my skin really liked it. It's quite rich but it worked very well under makeup (hello dry skin lol). It gave my face a healthy glow and kept it moisturised throughout a day. I wouldn't rate application process as much, as it did drag my skin a little bit. Its best applied if warmed up in between the fingers for few seconds or used on top of light serum. I'm in the process of testing new moisturiser now but I would consider going back to it.

Lastly I used up two sample packs from Skin Pep. Firstly Dark Circle Eraser Eye Cream. It's a very rich under-eye cream perfect for nighttime. I can't really say anything to results as it only lasted for a week but little goes a long way and I would consider buying full size. I have a great eye cream now so maybe not in the nearest future. and Collagen Renew Growth Factor Night Cream. I really liked the rich formula, however I think this has blocked up my pores a little. I wouldn't consider buying full size.

There you have it. My skincare empties for the last few months. As you can see I'm quite obsessed with cleansing my face ;). I think I found few gems in there that are worth repurchasing, especially the Origins Serum, which was just spot on.  I hope you liked today's ramblings of a mad woman and I'll see you soon with my next post :) Don't forget to subscribe - all the links below <3
