TOP 5 DRUGSTORE MAKEUP COLLAB WITH NISHI.V

Super excited to be in collaboration again with my favourite girl Nishi.V. We've collaborated before and created some cool looks with Birtish Beauty Blogger for Makeup Revolution Fortune Favours The Brave Palette (Click here for my post and here for Nishi's). Nishi and I go way back and despite looking nothing alike, we love a lot of the same makeup <3 We've talked about collaborating again and thought we'll share with you our favourite drugstore makeup bits.

Nishi.V is a London based blogger and Youtuber. She's as obsessed with social media as I am, so you can follow her everywhere now: Bloglovin', Youtube, Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat.

I love drugstore makeup. Don't get me wrong, I love high end too, but it's also such a rush to find an amazing product in your local Boots or Superdrug. I'm all for finding dupes and discovering affordable brands, so drugstore makeup is very close to my heart. It was super hard to give you my top 5, as I had more than 10, when I first sat down and had to painfully reduce it to only 5.

This drugstore gem has been my favourite for years now. The formula is incredible. It's full coverage and creamy. It sets pretty quickly and does not wrinkle underneath the eyes. The shade is super light and it does not darken during the day. I use it as concealer and to highlight the top points of my face. Superb quality at a friction of the price. Its formula differs a little from Urban Decay Naked Skin Concelaer as it's a little heavier, but you can get the same, if not fuller coverage with the Collection Concealer.

I only just recently published a post about brows so if you haven't already, click here to read now:). Freedom Brow Pomade is a superb brow product. The shades are cool toned. The formula is creamy and highly pigmented. They're waterproof & sweat proof and last for absolute ages. At £5.00 a pot you really don't need to think about it. If you haven't already, try it, you won't be disappointed.

Best Primer Ever !!! Thanks to an amazing Nikkie Tutorials the makeup world discovered Nivea Post Shave Balm and what a discovery that is. Honestly the best primer I have ever used and that includes expensive bits from Laura Mercier, Make Up For Ever and others. Makeup stays put on the hottest and most humid days, it doesn't set in wrinkles and dry areas. And it's super affordable! You need to give it a go, you won't regret it :)

I love all the shades but Rose Gold was the first one I've ever purchased and first I fell in love with, so it'll always have a special place in my heart. Super affordable dupe for Stila Magnificent Foils and the quality smashes Stila by mile. You can use it alone or mix it with the mixing liquid provided (or Inglot Duraline). It gives you the most incredible finish. It's got that chrome/mirror like finish and will be perfect to top off your evening looks.

The best contouring shade at drugstore by far. It's cool toned and perfect for anyone from the palest up to medium skin tones. Packaging is small and travel friendly. Formula is super pigmented, if a little dusty. Only a tiny bit is enough to perfectly contour the cheekbones. Absolute steel and finally widely available in UK. Give it a try when you're in Boots next.

Now it's time to find out what drugstore gems Nishi has in store for us. Click here to be taken to her Top 5 Drugstore Makeup bits. Go and show her some love <3

  1. Thanks so much for collabing with me hun! I was giggling through this post because we really are so similar, even parts of our post haha! I actually have the MUR rose gold foil, but I don't think I've ever used it. I need to try that Freedom brow pomade though, so many people rave about it!

  2. I tried the Collection concealer years ago but it was too heavy for my under eyes. The Nivea balm as a primer is good, I agree, although I do prefer some others that have some blurring properties and help to keep my skin shine free but I can imagine dry skin love it.
I need to get the Freedom pomade! x

    1. I love the Nivea stuff! It's especially good when I use it under Revlon Color Stay ! That duo lasts on me forever and I get the Insta blur effect :) I'm still looking for a good blurring primer tho ! I use the Collection one on top of Bourjois concealer, which is super hydrating and only use Collection to really hide those bags ;) I love Freedom Pomades, although after few month you need to refresh the formula with couple of drops of Duraline :) xx

  3. I really want to try the Freedom Brow Pomade! At the moment, I'm using my Maybelline Colour Tattoo as a brow pomade, as the shade doesn't really do much for me on my eye lids, but is a great tone for my brows. I really need to try the Nivea Post Shave Balm, my husband uses it, so I really have no excuse! I completely agree with you on the Makeup Revolution Eye Foil & NXY Taupe, two of my favourite products too! Xx

    1. I used to use Color Tattoo in Taupe all the time :) I'm now using either Freedom or Ingkot or ABH but Freedom is the best shade wise for me :) xx

  4. The only one of these products I've tried is the Collection concealer but it didn't work for me as my skin is so dry! That MUR eye foil is beautiful! xx

    1. I'm using it on top of hydrating concealer to add an extra coverage :) have you tried UD Naked Skin Concealer. Coverage is decent and formula lighter than Collection one :) x
