NEW IN SKINCARE: CLINIQUE PEP-START - BEST MORNING EYE CREAM?

Eye creams are my little obsession. I have very thin and dry under eyes so finding a perfect eye cream has been a terrible task. I need hydration, yet light, anti-aging and radiating. I have been using Clinique Pep-Start for two weeks now and can't get enough.

Packaging isn't something new as the cream is dispensed onto a plastic ball which helps distributing it on sensitive under eye area. I always preferred lightly tapping the eye creams in, worried any other motion to be too harsh for this delicate skin. This applicator is just perfect, it's so smooth, it makes the application very enjoyable. Cream is packed in to fun, orange packaging, which brightens up my skincare drawer :)

Formula is super light, yet extra hydrating. Under eyes are moisturised within seconds and cream sinks in quickly. It helps reduce puffiness within 30 seconds and long term helps reducing of the dark circles. It's not illuminating but it does brighten the area instantly. I am in love, it replaced my other day eye gel. It provides a great barrier for under eye concealer and preps the skin there for makeup. My concealer has never looked better, as my under eyes are now properly cared for :)

Here's what Clinique has to say about it:

A pep rush for eyes. Just 3 seconds to look wide awake, refreshed. Hydrates, brightens, perks you up. Its cool touch and de-puffing tip help keep eyes looking fresh. Smooths the way for makeup, too. Have it on hand. Ophthalmologist Tested.

  1. This sounds absolutely perfect for me - it seems as though no matter how much sleep I get or water I drink I still have dark circles under my eyes - ugh! I love the idea of the ball making application much easier for your sensitive under-eye skin too

  2. I've been looking forward to reading his post.. I've heard great things about this eye cream, and wanted some confirmation from 'someone I know' hah! I love the packaging as I don't like sticking my fingers into pots, but most of all I need anything that can help with dark circles!! I'm definitely adding this one to the list.

    1. I agree. I hate compromising skincare by dabbing my finger in my skincare pots :)

  6. Oooh I didn't realise that you were supposed to use the ball to massage it in - I've been using my fingers! Either way - I actually have to disagree with you. I bought this after reading amazing reviews online but I haven't noticed any difference on my under eye area at all. I'll give it a few more try's though since reading this!

    1. Oh no, sorry to hear you haven't had positive results with this cream. Just shows skincare is such a personal thing. I've been using an applicator as I was shown how to use it on Clinique counter. What I really love about it is how amazing it is under makeup. My undereye concealer has never looked as good as with this one :) X
