Hello :) As I write these words from the sunny garden, I can honestly say - spring is finally here and oh so welcome. March is over and for once it didn't just flew by, it felt as if this was the longest month of the year. Stress wise, my anxiety has been playing up and for a while there, I've lost interest in every day stuff. But today, when the sun is out, there's not a bad thought on my mind. I have tested A LOT of new products this month, with it being very busy on online shopping deliveries and of course my trip to London ;) I have few exciting bits to show you today, so please make yourself a cup of tea, sit comfortably and let's begin :)
I'll start with skincare as there's only two products that I've been obsessed with this month. Firstly my new Garnier Oil Infused Micellar Water. This has replaced my trusty pink version as it's much friendlier to my dry and sensitive skin. I've done a whole review comparing them both so check it out here, in case you missed it. The only product I used to remove my makeup this month and that says a lot as normally my routine is way more complicated than that :) I still use coconut oil first but this has been my trusty 2nd step and I would recommend it to everyone :)
On my trip to London, I stopped by Lush & picked up The Sacred Truth Mask. For me it's a winner. I have a review coming soon on it, but if you suffer from first signs of ageing and dry skin - this mask is amazing. It's hydrating and it gives my sometimes rough skin its softness bak. I've been using it 2-3 times a week, I'm so obsessed :) To apply it, I picked up a Freedom Contour Brush. I don't like this brush to contour with. Yes it's soft, but also just a tad too dense for my liking and I just don't enjoy it for makeup application. I don't like to waste things and I have been using it for my masks this month (thanks for the tip Fokusowana <3). It applies them well and it means no more sticking my fingers into masks which is great, as I've been sporting long nails ;) It super easy to clean and dries within few hours so great re-discovery!
On the subject of brushes, shout out goes to Bare Minerals Heavenly Face Brush. This one doesn't look like much, but it gives a foundation the most gorgeous (and up to full coverage) finish. To top it off, it does not eat any product and I mean that. No product goes in - it's pretty incredible. I got it as part of Cohorted box in March and I know it's on a pricey side, but wow does it do the job and well !!
Base wise, I have discovered a new BB Cream this month. Having tried and loved one from Bare minerals, I've been on a hunt for something even better. Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream in 13 is so pale, I finally found something that matches my paleness so perfectly. It has slightly grey undertone with is perfect for those with pink undertones. It's practically white with a hint of beige lol. Beautiful. On top of perfect shade match, it gives the most beautiful medium to high coverage which is so unusual with BB Creams and it stays put all day. Yes, all day !! Formula is incredible and I had too mention it, even before review goes up next week. It's available from Beauty Bay.
I remember popping in to Boots and getting the Oil based Micellar Water and picking up my next gem at the same time. L'Oreal Infallible Sculpt Contouring Palette in 01 Light/Medium is AMAZING for pale skin contouring needs. Both shades are matte and pigmented. Contour has a greyish tone to it and it blends beautifully. If powdered down, it will stay on your face all day long. What i love about it it's the size. The packaging is small, both shades are perfect and let's face it, you really don't need 8 pan contouring palette for your daily needs. If you haven't already, you should gives this one a go :)
On my trip to Lush on Oxford Street, I was recommended an Emotional Brilliance Setting Powder by one of the girls there. This is one powder, even my dry skin likes. It gives a satin finish. T's translucent & it gives my skin a gorgeous finish. I've been using it everyday to set up my concealer and base products with and no creasing, no canines, no dry skin after few hours. You can also re-apply throughout the day. Brilliant, as the name suggests!
Lastly for my base, Makeup Revolution Pro Illuminate has completely overtaken my highlighting day to day (review here) I use it daily and I love the effect it gives me, it's gold but cool toned, which works great for pale skinned. It gives the most incredible finish and sometimes in photos I simply can't believe it's a £4.00 product. Yes the packaging isn't great but I plan to depot it to my Inglot Flexi Palette as soon as I'll find time to :)
I've switched up my brow routine this month too. I still love my Freedom Brow Pomade but these two products have been an every day makeup staple of mine in March. Soap&Glory Archery 2 in 1 Brow Filling Pencil & Brush in Bombshell get's the highest points and not for the name alone ;) It's a lovely shade for blondes and the pencil is so thin - it's a real pleasure to work with. It's hard enough, so no mistakes are to be made and the brush is great to brush off the excess product. I have been setting my brows with ModelCo More Brows in Light/Medium since it arrived in one of the beauty boxes. This is a perfect shade for me, the brush is tiny, making the application a real joy and it keep my bushy hair at bay. It's a yes from me.
Lips wise, I have been obsessed with two things. Finding a perfect liquid lipstick and anything in nude ;) These two don't disappoint. Gwen Stefani for Urban Decay Lip Liner in Ex-Girlfriend is everything and more you need from a lip liner. It lasts all day long and compliments any nude lipsticks well, be that sheer, satin or matte, it works well with any lipstick I tried it with. It's worth every penny !! Still Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Baci has stolen my heart the moment it arrived at my doorstep, it the perfect light purple mauve. It sits pretty comfortably on the lip, stays on well and makes my lips appear fuller. Dries to full matte finish within seconds. Thanks for recommendation Dagmara <3
That is all for this month my lovely readers. I hope you enjoyed this month favourites and I inspired you to give some of them a go. So if you're dry and pale as me, all the above should tick all your boxes hahahah ;) What have you been loving in March? I'd love to know !!
Thank you for reading,
