UNBOX WITH ME: THE ROSE GOLD EDIT BY GLOSSYBOX & REALLY REE, DECEMBER 2015

Hello Glossybox. It'd been a while since I've been so taken by any special edit and here we are. The Rose Gold Edit is a special one, because of its gorgeous packaging and the collaboration with the one and only stunning Really Ree. She's such an inspiration to any budding blogger and following her journey for a long time now, I can see how heavily inspired this box truly is.

Glossybox & Really Rae December collaboration: The Rose Gold Edit

From left: So Susan Highlighter Pencil, Essense Liquid Lipstick in Show Off

Packaging as usual is a stunner, this time a stunner covered in rose gold. If there were ever a better box - please remind me, as I keep staring at this beauty, not wanting to let go - LOL ;) Even the little ribbon goes nicely with the theme and with celebration in mind, let's see what December's festive edition has brought us this time.

Cheeky Chat Me Up Nail Paint in Gold Digger (full size - £7.00)

Cheeky offers us a healthier alternative to the nail paint. 3 free nail paints are free of Dibutyl Phthalate, Toluene, and Formaldehyde, making it a smarter choice as prolong use of these chemicals can affect your health. Polish is well pigmented, 2 coats is all you need for the perfect mani. I wouldn't personally go for all gold nails but it will work nicely as an accent nail or you can brave it and go all out :)

So Susan Statement Skin Highlighter Pencil (full size - £15.00)

I have tried quite a few products from So Susan and have never been impressed by their formula. It makes me super happy to admit that for the first time I have nothing bad to say about their product. Formula is creamy and glides on the skin. Bullet applicator is precise enough, making application a piece of cake. No glitter or micro glitter in sight making this an awesome creamy highlighter. Perfect to pop in to handbag for a bit of glow during a day. Did I mention the colour? It's champagne but light enough for even the palest of skin!!  For all of you the strobing maniacs (I can't be the only one right?) it's the one to look out for.

Essence Liquid Lipstick in Show Off (full size - £2.50)

Another great addition to the box. Essence isn't the most expensive brand, it's actually really cheap, yet with a game of interesting and quality products. I tried the liquid lipstick range before and they are super comfortable to wear. Pigmentation is ok, bit patchy when swatched but gives a nice wash of colour. It stays on the lip for up to 3 hours, pigment isn't as strong as to give them a wash of colour after gloss is gone. Show Off is a gorgeous shade, perfect for the party season.

Êntre Belle Golden Skin Caviar Eye Roll On (deluxe sample - full size RPR £30.66)

Part of the Golden Skin Caviar range from the German company. The addition of Pullulan makes this eye care gem great tightening effect cream. Roller will give you the instant cooling effect to the delicate area, which instantly reduces puffiness. I would recommend keeping it in the fridge for the added effect. Perfect as an addition to the morning routine. Pullulan will not have lasting tightening effect, so the results will mainly be temporary, but the rest of the active ingredients will make up for it by providing lasting effects in firming the eye area and reducing the dark circles and puffiness.

Darphin 8 Flower Nectar Oil Cream (deluxe sample - full size RPR £65.00)

Hybrid oil cream combining the soothing effect of both. With the addiction of already cult 8 flower nectar from 280 petals it provides both deep moisturising and soothing effect as well as being a pure indulgence to the skin. This is on the pricey side, but I have been eyeing it on Space NK for a while now, so super pleased to be able to test it out. Cream has a very interesting texture, goes on cream and changes in a beautifully supple oil. It feels light yet rich on the skin. Super luxury product addiction and nice sample size.

Starskin Bio-Cellulose Second Skin Mask (full size - £8.50 for one)

Red carpet ready mask is a pre-treatment for perfect looking makeup application. In 20-25 minutes it promises to deeply moisturise and awaken dull complexion, in time for the makeup application. It creates a dewy complexion. Perfect add on as a 6th product to the box and for the party season. I will be giving it a go prior to New Years Eve makeup and see how amazing it truly is.

That's it ladies. Amazing party season ready December Glossybox is now unboxed and ready for testing :) Which products did you like best? I am all over the skincare this month with Darphin hybrid cream and Êntre Belle eye roll on closely second. From makeup I am all up for a bit of strobing action with my new favourite from So Susan. Two festive boxes are no longer the mystery. Did you prefer Birchbox or Glossybox this month? I did a review on Birchbag only recently so if you missed it, you can check it out here.

*Little blog info*

I decided to change the times my posts will be published each week. I am now back to full time hours at work so I will be publishing 3 times a week from now on. Posts will be published at 10 am GMT on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and 1-2 extra posts a month will be published on either Saturday or Sunday as a bonus. As you can see I'm only really stopping 2-3 posts a month but it'll give me time to both work and blog without having to sacrifice on my friends and family time. It's a balancing act so please bear with me, as I try to live my life without having to sacrifice anything I love :)

Thank you for reading.
Love,

Dorota x

  1. I like the sound of that Darphin cream, rather expensive but if it works very well might be worth investing in it :) x
