Hello ladies :) Happy Tuesday. It's light outside today, which makes a great change from the usual gloominess. I received my new Birchbox recently and would like to show you how awesome December 'box' is. Why quotes you ask? Let's dig in to find out <3
This months theme is "All that glitters" and what a fitting theme that is. I'm glad it concentrates more on Christmas Parties and New Years Eve than Christmas itself. Inside, as per usual you will find great selection and mix of products.
This month Birchbox has swapped the box for a clutch bag and I love it. Given material isn't anything too fancy and the bag itself isn't structured but it does work great for a night out - I took it out with me on Saturday and it worked a charm :) Luxe Birchbag is designed beautifully and works lovely with any outfit. Added triangle of golden shimmer makes it super party season friendly :)
Inside the bag there's plenty to choose from. Shall we have a look together? Oh go on then <3
Benefit The Ultimate Party Kit (2x sample - full size RPR £41.00)
This mini set includes two popular Benefit products: Puff Off, which is a funny little product. It can work as a base for under the makeup, as a under-eye cream or even over the makeup. I haven't tried it yet, but I will surely report back on this one. Also included is a mini of Push Up Liner. I find formula really tricky to work with as it dries instantly, but given you use it with an angled brush instead, it will stay on forever - one of the best lasting liners I've ever used.
ModelCo Ultra-Lasting Lipstick in Smitten (one lipstick - RPR for set of 3 £15.50)
Advertised as semi matte formula, however I find it to be a satin finish. It doesn't smudge, it's super creamy and comfortable to wear and will last unto 3 hours with some food and drink in the mixture. You can apply it straight from a bullet as it glides on the lips easily. Dark red shade looks beautiful on the lips and works nicely as both autumn and winter shade. It's a winner :)
Ciate London Paint Pot in Pool Party (mini nail polish - full size RPR £9.00)
I really love the shade. It's a beautiful denim blue, perfect for winter manis. Me & Ciate formula aren't best buds but given a good top coat it'll last for up to 3 days on my nails. No top coat and it will chip within 24 hours. I really like the mini size though :)
Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentrate (5ml sample - full size RPR from £12.99)
Branded as cult classic so I'm very excited to try it, even though I haven't heard of the brand personally. It has a very rich, yet light formula so it should work great under the makeup. I will give it a go and report back :)
Rituals T'ai Chi Foaming Shower Gel (sample 50ml - full size RPR £8.50)
I love foaming gels from Rituals. You only ever need a tiny amount to cover your whole body and the moisturising formula means skipping body lotion is a definite go :) I love the formula and the fragrance is very soothing and relaxing. Love the sample size too <3
Catherine Malandrine Style de Paris Eau de Parfum (sample 2ml - full size RPR from £50.00)
I love this fragrance. It's fruity and soft and just gorgeous. I'm terrible at describing smells but it's sophisticated yet girly. I will most definitely have a look at the full size options. It's also Birchbox exclusive so I may wait a bit for Boxing Day sales :)
There you have it. I really love December box. I will most definitely use them all as the selection is just perfect this month :) What do you think ladies? Let me know in the comments below. See you Thursday for another episode of Blogmas :)
Thank you for reading.
