Unbox with me: Skinny Dip - BIRCHBOX NOVEMBER 2015

Hello ladies :) What a "lovely" week we are having. If the weather depresses you as much, as it does me, maybe a Skinny Dip edition of this month's Birchbox is the answer? It's time to book some beach holidays !!! That's the only reasoning I see in this month's theme... Bit silly isn't it, to have a summer theme in November? Or is it just me, as I don't get it ?lol

I may not be getting the theme, as it's completely out of place, but I really like the box itself. It reminds me of summer and any reminder, when the weather is so horrible, is always a plus. It's definitely going in to "keep" category :) As usual, the samples are packed in down string bag, which I find very useful to pack your things in when you're going away :)

In this months box you will find a variety of sample products from makeup, through skincare, body, hair and even nails. I don't think it's my favourite box for the lack of full size products. I am a little disappointed, but nevertheless there are some gems to try and test, so let's see what's inside the box, shall we?

Lord & Berry Silhouette Neutral Lip Liner (sample - full size RPR £9.00)

I haven't had a chance to test translucent lip liner and I have never really seen a point of it, but it's a great add on, as it means you can use it with any lip colour and it will always work. I use matte colours so smudged lipstick is rarely a thing for me, but for hardcore satin/gloss finish fans it's a must have :)

REN Wake Wonderful Night-Time Facial (sample - full size RPR £32.00)

The sample is pretty decent so I'm quite excited to test it out. Any overnight treatments are always a great way for that "pick me up" feeling for the skin and I love them. Blend of glycolic and lactic acid triggers cell renewal when we sleep, so it's a definitely a yes from me. I love my skin to look radiant in the morning so bring it on REN, let's see what you've got :)

Beauty Protector Beauty Cream Body Lotion (sample -full size RPR £8.00)

I received a sample of Beauty Protector Body Wash previously in my Birchbox so I am familiar with the brand. I really liked it but I'm honestly not too impressed with body lotion sample. First, I am way too lazy to use body lotions - I use sprays instead. Second the sample size means I can test it max twice, if that :) I do like the brand though and the scent is really pleasant, so it goes in to my "travel, overnight beauty bag".

Number 4 Lumiere d'Hiver Super Comb Prep & Protect (sample - full size RPR £20.00)

I love a good multi use conditioner/detangling spray that you can leave in. Hair care is something I spent really little time on. I use my oils and then detangling spray/cream but that's pretty much it. So I am happy with the product, I just wished the sample was a little bigger.

Delarom Crème Aquaconfort (sample - full size RPR £34.00)

Deluxe samples of good face creams are always a welcome addition and this one is too. I don't remember the last time I bought a daily moisturiser as samples keep me going:) Ingredients like almond oil, apricot oil and vit. E are a great indicator for a face cream and I'm excited to try it. Dehydration is something I constantly battle and it gets worse in the winter months as my skin doesn't react too well to central heating, so it's a huge yes from me :)

Thumbs Up Rosa Nail Wraps £6.99

These nail wraps are actually super cute and whilst I am not a huge fans of wraps I will definitely gift them to someone. Very cute design and a great add on to the box. I may not be a biggest fan but I know a lot of people who love wraps :)

That's it for this months box. I have to say that only one thing really caught my eye and it's a deluxe sample of skincare - Delarom Crème Aquaconfort & REN Wake Wonderful Night-Time Facial. I am a sucker for skincare so it's a definite bonus as the samples are a good size. I would have loved a conditioner/ hair detangle spray, if only the sample was a little bigger. Rest I'm not too impressed with as they don't necessarily scream me :) It's a good selection of products and I'm sure there will be people this box would have suited better. I hope December box will be a little better, as I'm little disappointed by this one. I'm sure it's a great selection but I have tons of samples already so no need for new ones.

I wonder what do you think? Did you enjoy content of this month's box or do you agree it was a little out of place for November? Sound off in the comments below and I'll see you Thursday 10 am GMT.

Thank you for reading.
Love,

Dorota x
