BEAUTY FAVOURITES OCTOBER 2015 - And the award goes to...

Hello and welcome to the monthly favourites. Where has the month gone? I mean seriously, how are we now in November? I spent most of my October hanging out with friends old and new and I thoroughly enjoyed myself this month. How about you? What's most memorable to you in October? Ok ladies, back to beauty. Want to know who made the cut? Make yourself a cup of tea and let's get on with this madness...

Smashbox #SHAPEMATTERS Palette.

I did a review on this palette when it came out (READ HERE) so I won't go in to too much details, but it has been my fave this month. I have been using it pretty much everyday and took it with me every time I went away overnight as it has everything I need for a full face makeup. My favourite being of course the contour shade - so cool toned, it's amazing how easy it is to blend and how beautiful it looks. I have been obsessing over eyeliner shades too as they stay put all day, if applied wet !! Highly recommended - RPR £60.00 available in Boots.

Makeup Revolution New-trals VS Neutrals Palette.

This is in my opinion the only palette you need for autumn. The shades are warm and beautiful. Pigmentation is great, there's plenty of mattes to go by and altogether well thought out palette. Well done MUR :) For swatches and more in depth info check out my review HERE. RPR £6.99 available on their website and in Superdrug.

Fleur DeForce Eyeshadow Quad in Lunar Rose.

This is one thing I did not expect to like at all. Many bloggers are now coming up with their ranges of makeup and most of it is ok at best. I ordered Fleur's palette only to try and I AM SERIOUSLY IN LOVE. Shadows are pigmented, gorgeous in finish. You get one matte shade that's perfect for crease as a transition shade and blending out. Rest is shimmers to sparkle but let me tell you - what a gem this is. Shades are gorgeous and you can create a perfect daytime and evening makeup with it. If I wasn't wearing MUR palette, I was wearing this non stop. RPR £7.99 available from Feel Unique.

Color Tattoo Creamy Mattes in Créme de Rose.

I did a review on the new range from Color Tattoo so you can read it in depth HERE, but only one really caught my eye. I really like Créme de Rose. I think the shade is beautiful on it's own, works ok as a base (just ensure you only apply a little and powder it down). I have been using it mainly as a all over the lid shade and contouring it slightly in the crease and above with a powder shade. works great under a liner. RPR £4.99 available in larger Boots.

TheBalm Mr. Write (Now) Eyeliner Pencil in Brian.

I have found THE PERFECT waterline beige in this little pencil. Granted, it's not cheap but it lasts forever, gives subtle effect and refreshes my eye in the instant. No dragging as it's creamy formula glides on the waterline and stays put for good few hours. October has found me working and staying up lots so a good eye opener was a must. Great buy and highly recommended. RPR £13.95 available from Superdrug.

Freedom Eyebrow Pomade in Blonde.

I only just shared with you my review on new brow pomades from Freedom and you can read all about it here. When I sat down to think which one I like better from the ones I own and the clear choice was Blonde. It's more of a neutral tone, I guess. I find the formula amazing and I would't change it for the world !! Great buy and very affordable. RPR £5.00 available from Freedom website and in larger Superdrugs.

Maybelline Color Sensational Matte in Divine Wine.

There's a review of the whole range coming soon, but since getting, it I am in love with this shade. I have done a makeup look with it (check it out here) and have been wearing it more often than not. It turned into one of my favourites Autumn lipsticks, with its great formula, pigmentation and staying power, it's a clear win as it's really affordable. RPR £6.99 available in Boots and Superdrug.

Freedom Makeup Pro Studio Priming Water.

I've got this as a add on to my latest Freedom order. I knew it's supposed to be a dupe for Smashbox primer and I wanted to give it a go. I have a very dry skin so anything moisturising to add on to my routine is always welcome and this is no different. It add a lever of moisture to my skin. I use it on top of my normal primer. I also used it as a setting spray as recommended by Freedom. I found that it does in fact give a glow finish to my makeup, but it certainly isn't something that would prolong your makeup. I will stick to my UD setting spray for that. Nevertheless it's great to use before my foundation and I have been doing so daily. RPR £6.00 available from Freedom website and in larger Superdrugs.

Sigma Flat Kabuki F80 & Blending E25 brushes.

I recently ordered few single Sigma brushes to test and I am very impressed. I now use them daily and have to admit they are of a better quality than my beloved Zoeva... Yes I said it. Full on review is coming but I wanted to highlighted the two brushes I couldn't live without. F80 has totally replaced my Beauty Blender. It gives me such a lovely finish to my base and I've been loving using it with my absolute best base product - Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue. It gives a flawless finish when stippling and buffing. Best monies ever spent. E25 is a little eye blending gem. It's smaller than Zoeva 227 and MAC 217 but the bristles are so soft... I mean I can't compare them to any brushes I ever used. It works great to apply and blend at the same time. Size is perfect for me, bristles so soft I just want to blend and blend and never be done with it. I will be purchasing more, that's for sure :) RPR £15.70 (F80) & £9.15 (E25) from Feel Unique.

Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub.

Well it had to happen. I had to mention it as I'm obsessed with it. I use it daily and if I forget I feel somehow sad, like I've been cheating on it. I know, totally crazy, but hear me out. It tastes great, have a really good scrubbing power, it's all natural and it's Lush. Must I say more? I already wrote about it HERE, if you want to give it a read. RPR £5.50 available from Lush website.

That's all for my massive October favourites. I have been buying and testing lots and I truly feel like I found so many really great gems, that will stay with me for a really long time. Let me know what you've been loving in October? I'm always up for testing new products, so if there's something you want me to try, let me know babes :)

Thank you for reading.
Love,

Dorota x

  5. Great picks! I need to bet that beige pencil from The Balm, damn you Dorota, I can't spend more money, lol! I have the Sigma F80 and for me it was a disappointment, I don't like the finish it gives to my foundations. But you inspired me to take it out again and test it one more time :) x

    1. It's the best foundation brush I ever used. Well so far lol. Try it with a little of fix+ :)

The Balm liner, I think one of the polish Youtubers recommended it. Either Digital Girl or Maxineczka and I bought it few months back. I must say it's pretty great. I couldn't find a good one before. It's subtle yet it does the job beautifully :) Plus it stays on which is a plus :) Little minus is the price but I threw out rest of my other white/beige liners and only using it now :)
