Hello Thursday and hello to you lovely peeps. How's your week so far? Have you passed out in front of Netflix every night as yours truly or maybe you were out enjoying yourself? I'm having a lovely weekend planned as it's my best friends birthday tomorrow :) I'm planning on going a little crazy on Saturday and sleep it off Sunday :)
I have to admit, I totally forgot that I received September's Glossybox so it was a huge surprise to find it, unboxed underneath my coffee table lol. It's here so I thought I will show you how gorgeous this month's box design has been and what's hidden within its walls :)
Bellápierre Shimmer Powder in Whesek. Glossybox editor is calling this shade a greige (mix of grey and beige) so I got totally excited, until a morning few days ago when I only had 30 minutes to get ready so thought (foolishly) that all over greige on my eyes would look modern and totally in. I was a little wrong as the shade is opalescent and it looks like a very shiny blue in daylight. Yes it took me a while to make it less shocking and I ended up wearing my glasses to hide my obvious evening look lol. The shade is beautiful in its own light though and I'm sure I will find ways to wear it again, maybe as an accent though haha. RPR £12.99
Marsk Eyeshadow Brush Pro. To call this brush a pro is a overstatement of a century. It feels very cheap in fact (at least the bristles). It's synthetic so I guess you can use it to apply eyeshadow or a creme product but this left me less than impressed. I was expecting more. I would never swap this for any of my Zoeva brushes and this costs £16.70 as well? Believe me it's not worth the price.
Nails Inc polish in Batterses Park is a great khaki colour, perfect for autumn. I like Nails Inc polishes and this one isn't the exception. They offer high coverage and 2 coats is more than enough for an opaque finish. I don't own any nail polish in khaki yet, so this is a pleasant addition to my collection. RPR £11.00
Maria Nila Luminous Colour Hair Masque is 100% vegan, sulphate and paraben free making it a great choice. Brand comes to us from Sweden and mask promises to nourish, strenghten and protect both natural as well as coloured hair. As an owner of blonde ombre I'm forever on a lookout for a great mask to finally tame my frizz :) RPR £18.95
Finally something I was looking to try for a long time. Invisibobble Traceless Hair Ring promises to secure my locks without leaving a kink as well as leaving them damage free... Well, that would be a first for me. I have naturally curly/beach wavy hair so it's always a nightmare to put them up as the kinks destroy the natural way my hair curl leaving them looking unkept. I'm looking forward to trying it :) There's 3 in a packet as well making it a 5th full size product. RPR £4.00.
I have to admit the makeup items nearly killed my overall impressions of this box. The only thing I don't like (REALLY, REALLY DON'T LIKE) is the eyeshadow brush. It feels really cheap and it's most definitely not worth its price. I would love to see Real Techniques or Zoeva brush instead (which are cheaper overall anyway). Eyeshadow may not be my cup of tea but I can see myself using it as an accent to a bottom lid :) Hair mask is a lovely idea and I like the smell of it. I will have to test it some more to see if it really works. Nail polish was a great addition this month and surprised me with khaki shade. Welcome to the family :) Invisibobble is also great :) I think I like this box. I wish the brush offered was something else, but we can't have everything :)
