I’ve been a Glossy Box subscriber for nearly 3 years now. I enjoy trying out new products and brands so Glossy Box has always provided me with some excellent products. Box itself costs £10 per month plus usual P&P charges.
Let’s start with packaging. As usual Glossy Box offers you the best packaging there is on the market of beauty boxes in UK. I always keep mine and use for storage.
I received 2 full size and 3 sample products in my May Glossy Box. The total worth of the box is £33.
Starting with full size items, I received Etre Belle Aloe Vera Ultra Moisturising Gel.It claims to be an instant rescue for skin in need of a little TLC. The cooling formula hydrates by delivering moisture deep below the skin surface. You could probably use it as a post sunning session remedy as aloe vera helps revive the post tanning skin. Gel formula makes it a good choice to use pre moisturiser as it would act as a hydrating serum. I’m quite excited to try it as I love moisturising skincare because of my very dry skin.
I also was quite happy to see a sample of Sass, which is a leading SLS free intimate brand. Their products are both dermatologically and gynaecology tested. I was hoping to get a sample of an intimate wash as their products are quite expensive and I would love to test it before committing to a purchase. I received a Sass Intimate Perfect Skin Concentrate which claims to help in prevention of ingrown hairs, reduction of hair re-growth and is soothing post shave or wax. I will definitely give it a go, however I’m disappointed not to receive other samples from this brand.
In my box I also found a sample of Philosophy Renewed Hope In A Jar. I heard so many great things about this product and I’m very excited to try it. However the sample size is quite disappointing because you cannot test a skincare product by a 7ml sample. I hope a little goes a long way and I will be able to test it properly as it’s one of the products I would likely buy in full size.
I also received a sample size (70ml) of Zerreau Beauty Towel Off Shampoo Foam. I have never heard of this brand before and I will definitely give this one a try. This claims to be paraben, triclosan and alcohol free making it a healthy choice :) Not sure how effective this will be as it’s not as simple as my Batiste where I spray, wait few seconds and brush the excess off making my morning routine so much faster. However testing new brands is what Glossy Box should be all about, so I will definitely report more after I continue to use it.
I am a huge fan of beauty boxes because they give you an easy way of testing new brands or key beauty trends. I find that I prefer my samples to be a little more generous because I don’t really see a point in testing 7ml of the face cream. You will not be able to see the resulst as quickly. However samples are great travel companions and I am flying to Tunisia in less that 7 weeks so I am happy to take some of my gathered samples on board with me. I will also be packing an Aloe Vera moisturising gel to keep my skin as hydrated as possible especially after spending a day on a beach.I may also throw in dual ended eyeliner in my make up bag for a quick summer update to my evening looks.
